GATE Entrance exams are conducted for seeking admissions to the best M.Tech colleges in India and top colleges in the country that provides the best course across the country. Indian Institute of technology i.e. all the IIT's are the first preference to study M.Tech program in India.

In order to get admissions to IITs and be eligible for IITs one has to get about 95%.The 70% of the score depends upon how you perform in the exam and 30% is calculated on how you perform the best at the IITs.

The last date to apply was October 3rd 2013.

The last date to take out the printouts of the online application form and the supporting documents at the zonal GATE offices is October 10th, 2013.

 The Engineering Entrance exam will be held online between February 1st and March 2nd 2014. The candidate is allowed to choose any one of the paper according to the admission plan, keeping in mind about the eligibility criteria of the institutions in which he/she is interested to seek admissions.

The GATE Entrance exam consists of the single paper of 3 hrs duration that contains the 65 questions carrying a maximum of 100 marks.In all the papers there will be a total of 65 questions carrying 100 marks out of which 10 questions carrying a total of 15 marks are in General Aptitude.

 GATE Entrance exam will be held from February 1st, 2014 and March 2nd 2014.The entrance exams will be held during the afternoon i.e. from 9:00 AM to 12:00 noon and afternoon i.e. from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM.Session will be held on weekends i.e. on Saturday and Sunday.

The Entrance examinations for the remaining papers will be held in multiple, but continuous forenoon and in the afternoon sessions.
