Most of the people in India want to make career in IT. To make career in IT good academics and good thinking is required. There are many factors to keep in mind before selecting the college Professors are very important in each and every college. There are many good colleges and Institutes in India that provide the IT course One should find out that there are how many lecturers with PhDs. As the per the rule there should be at least one PhD professor per department and 25% faculties should be postgraduates to teach the UG courses. It is very important to have Professors, Asst Professors and Lecturers.

The lecturers should have at least 10-15 yrs of experience and it would more good if they are from the specific specializations. There are  top engineering colleges in India that provide engineering  in IT course.

Labs and Library should be perfect. Library should have 250 books per course. Library should also have photocopy machine, Fax and telephone is compulsory as per the AICTE/UGC norms. The classrooms should be quite big and comfortable. All the good IT Institute in India must also have separate rest rooms for boys and girls and also the student activity areas.

As the university is quite big so will the faculty be and more and more companies come to visit the college for placements. Always the reputation of the institute is decided by the category that is declared by the AICTE/UGC accreditations, NBA accreditations and ISO certifications. Each and every top college should have a placement cell which is very important.

Then comes the concentration on the general things like mentioned below

The college should have good reception area, parking facilities for two wheeler and four wheeler and a good garden with nice environment. Also the institute should have the anti-ragging policy. And institutions should not charge from the students for other development or building the construction charges.

Keep in mind to discuss the below mentioned questions with the institute staff like

1. Does the institute take part in inter college competitions

2. about the placements in the previous batches

3. How often the placement drive happens in the institute

4. What will be the total fees of each semester?

5. Whether the university is deemed or open university.

yes, your percentage is very low, I will not suggest that you should choose engineering as a career, but still you want to do engineering you can try for private college in Munger, they will admit you.
