JEE Main

Any type of undergraduate courses at centrally funded technical institutes, IITs, NITs, Participating State Government funded institutes and other institutes add on the scores of the XII or its equivalent Exams. Other Exams’ scores, which are important for securing admission eligibility criteria in the IITs are JEE (Main), JEE, Paper 1 of B.Tech. & B.E. (JEE_Main).

Different states, such as Uttarakhand, Odisha, Nagaland, Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat, Maharashtra, Haryana and Punjab have joined JEE (Main) system.

JEE Apex Board conducts Joint Entrance (Main) Exam for admitting students in the centrally funded Technical Institutes, IITs, NITs and Undergraduate Engineering Programs.

Candidates, desirous to take JEE (Advanced) Test have to qualify in JEE (Main). The candidates, who can qualify in JEE (Advanced) will be eligible for ISM / IIT (Dhanbad).

The official source of information

CBSE details their information through the information bulletin. The information encompass eligibility criteria, syllabus, detailed information about exam, exam fees, eligibility criteria, age relaxation, state code of eligibility, eligibility for admission, marks’ normalization process, important dates and reservation policies, and if any other information. Each aspiring candidate must down load the information bulletin and read in between the lines before applying for the exam.

Details of exam:-

There are 2 different papers for JEE (Main). The candidates are to choose in which type of course they are interested. Paper 1 is for B.Tech or B.E. and the Paper 2 is for B.Planning or B. Arch.

In case any candidate is interested to take the exam for both, he or she can do so.

The following table gives a picture of the type of question paper for individual exam, combination of subject in each paper, available mode of examination etc.

Application forms are to be downloaded from the above official cite of JEE (main). The application process starts from a given date and so ends on a given date in each year.

Important point to be noted

There are differences between the eligibility criteria of JEE (advanced) and JEE (main). To get proper guidance, a candidate must read the information in between the lines. There are many Facilitation Centers across the country. The aspiring student must ensure that he or she has understood the eligibility criteria. The candidates can seek help from the Facilitation Centers for filling their online forms. There is no fee for seeking the help. The candidates can download the list of these Facilitation Centers from the above mentioned official website under “Information Bulletin”.

This course in Bid is offered under different specializations, To get admission to a particular specialization, applicants must have completed their higher secondary in 10+2+3 or 11+1+3 format, Both higher secondary/pre-university and degree must have been obtained from a recognized board and recognized university respectively.

If a phase I test taker of Panipat oe other places is not satisfied his/her performance in the test or if a candidate has missed out to apply for NEET, he/she can apply for phase 2 exam, It is a second chance provided to aspiring candidates.
