Jharkhand CET is conducted by Jharkhand Combined Entrance Competitive Examination (JCECE) Board for selection of candidates into the first year of Engineering, Medical and Agricultural degree programs in various government and private institutes/colleges in Jharkhand.

  • BE - Bachelor of Engineering
  • MBBS- Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery
  • BDS - Bachelor of Dental Surgery
  • BVSc & AH- Bachelor of VeterinaryScience & Animal Husbandry
  • BSc Ag - Bachelor of Science Agriculture
  • BSc (Forestry) - Bachelor of Science Forestry

 

Eligibility

BE

The candidates must have passed their 10+2 or equivalent examination from a recognized board with the subjects Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and English. There is no age limit for the candidates.

 

MBBS/BDS

The candidates must have passed their 10+2 or equivalent examination from a recognized board, with a minimum of 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology in aggregate along with English. The minimum age of the candidate should be 17 years.

 

BVSc & AH

The candidates must pass their10+2 or equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry and Biology. The minimum age of the candidate should be 17 years.

 

BSc Ag & BSc Forestry

The candidates mustpass their 10+2 or equivalent examination from a recognized board, with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics or Physics, Chemistry and Biology. The minimum age of the candidate should be 17 years

In case of SC/ST there is a relaxation of five years in the upper age limit.

 

Candidates appearing for the JCECE entrance test must be the residents of the state of Jharkhand.

 

Examination Pattern

The JCECE entrance test is held in two stages, preliminary and final examination. The entrance test paper comprises of objective type multiple choice questions. It consists of single paper, which is divided into four parts - Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and Biology. All parts carry equal weightage. Based on the marks obtained by the candidates in the preliminary examination, a separate list of the engineering and medical candidates is prepared after evaluation. Candidates who successfully qualify the preliminary examination are eligible to appear in the final examination.

 

The final examination is held in a different date. The candidates appear for the combination of subjects Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics

Candidates appearing for JCECE entrance test must prepare for the subjects Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics / Biology. Engineering candidates prepare for the subjects Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. Applicants for the Medical field prepare for the subjects Mathematics, Chemistry and Biology.
