CEED 2015: How to apply for the Exam

CEED stands for Common Entrance Examination for Design .It is a qualifying  examination  for providing admissions to the Master of Design programes at IISc bangalore,IIT bombayU,IIT delhi ,IIT guwahati ,IIT hyderabad and IIT Kanpur and PhD programes in Design at some institutes.

The registration for the exam commenced on August 4th and will continue till September 1st 2014.

The exam which is scheduled to be conducted on December 7th 2014 will be held in two parts -A and B and aspirants taking the exam should answer both the parts.

They will be held at around 14 test centers across the country.

To register for the program the students need to follow a three step procedure given below

Applciation Procedure

Step1: Registration

1. Every aspirant must first register online before proceeding to fill the application forms.

For this one has to click the link on the CEED website.

2.  While registring, you must provide a valid email address and active mobile number since the CEED office will use these contacts for all the future communications to the candidates.

3. Once the registration process is completed the students will recieive an email on the registered email address with a link for validating the emial address A password will also be sent to the registered mobile number which has to be used for completing the registration process.

In case if you provided a wrong email address and or wrong mobile number then you need to register afresh with the correct details.

4. Do not delete the email sent to you.This can be used for the future refernces.

5. When you click on the email link you will be provided with a login screen where you have to enter your email address as the user id and the password sent through the SMS.

On the successful login you will be provided an application form to fill in and an application number.

6. Note down your application number and proceed to Step 2: Payment of fees.

Applicants need to pay the exam application fee through SBI Collect using the Internet banking, credit card or debit card.For details about making payment through SBI Collect

Once the payment is succesful, proceed to step 3.Completing the Online Application form

Step 3: Completing the Online Application Form

Students need to login with the registerd email address and password in the Online application web page.

Enter the personal details

Choose an exam city.You have to provide three choices.If a particular city which you ahve given as the first choice has to be dropped by the CEED office the you will be automatically assigned the city of your second choice.

If both the chocies are not feasible then the third choice will be alloted.

Enter the Payment details

Upload the files containing the photograph, signature, eligibilty certificate and other supporting documents.

You can save the application form anytine, log out and log in back to continue the application process.

Before clicking the submti button you just check whether the information filled by you is correct through the preview option as you cannot edit the form after submitting it.

Once you submit the applciation form you will get a confirmation page.

Keep a copy of this.This is only for you reference.

Please do not send this to the CEED office.

If the application filling page remains idle for more than 30 minutes the session will expire. In such a case, you have to login again and continue from your last saved session

The Non refundable application fee for CEED 2015 is a follows

Applicant Photograph and signature

Applicants photograph must be professionally taken in a studio in a white background.Please ask the studio to provide you a copy of the photograph in a JPEG format.

The Photograph must be of size 4:4 ratio of height: width

•640 x 480 pixels maximum

•320 x 240 pixels minimum

Photos must be the recent ones.

Photographs taken in poor light, blurred, dark background or through mobile phones are not acceptable.

Applicants signature must also be photographed or scanned by the professional studios and not by mobile phones.
