CET-K Results Will be Announced On 1st of June 2017

The Karnataka Examination Authority on the 25th of May 2016, made an announcement that the results of the Common Entrance Test 2016, which is denoted as CET-K, wherein ‘K’ denotes the state, will be declared on the 1st of June 2016.

Result postponed:

Earlier, it was announced that the results will be out of 26th of May 2016. But, this delay is due to the discrepancies in the results of the Karnataka Second Pre University Certificate Examination, which was out on the 18th of May 2016.

About the entrance test:

CET-K is otherwise denoted as CETK or KCET and it stands for Karnataka Common Entrance Test. It is mandatory for the students from this state to take up this examination, when they seek admission the professional UG courses offered by private unaided, aided and government colleges in the state. The courses for which admission is done on the basis of this score are engineering/technology, medicine and homeopathy. Candidates seeking admission to the professional UG architecture course should alone take the NATA test, while others will have to take KCET.

KCET 2016:

This year, this test was held in 343 centers in 53 locations across the state and around 1.5 lakh candidates took up the test. The test was held between the 12th and 16th of May 2016.

Provisional answer keys:

The provisional answer keys for the different papers like mathematics, biology, physics and chemistry was published by the KEA. The examination authority also made the announcement requesting the test takers to send any objections for the answer keys before the 18th of May 2016.

Result postponed:

As the date of result is now postponed to the 1st of June, the authority has announced that all other schedules also remain changed. The authority has also announced that the schedules will be intimated to the successful candidates later. Students need not worry with respect to admission to professional course.

Paper pattern:

The Karnataka Examination Authority is responsible for conducting many other examinations in the state.  KCET encompasses four papers namely; biology, mathematics, chemistry and physics. Here, students have the option to attend either biology or mathematics paper. Each question paper had 60 objective type questions and the maximum time limit given for answering each of these papers is 70 minutes.

So, students who have taken up the test on the above-mentioned dates and have been waiting for the results will have to wait for 5 more days to get the results. They can get admission to their dream professional course on the basis of the mark they have secured in their Pre University examination and also on the KCET test.

So, just five more days to decide your future and from now on it is just 4 more days. This is the time to stay relaxed with the hope that you will be getting good marks and can find admission to your dream professional educational institution, regardless of whether your goal is to become an engineer, dentist or doctor in homeopathy, ayurveda, unani, naturopathy or even MBBS.
