CLAT is the all India law entrance examinations which is conducted by the 14 national law schools and the universities. The Entrance exam is conducted for seeking admissions into various undergraduate and postgraduate degree programs across the country.
The Common Law Admission test i.e. CLAT Counseling for the students will be conducted online from the next academic session. This was announced by the Gujarat National Law University (NLU), Gandhinagar after the first meeting of the core committee .CLAT Law Entrance exam 2014 will be held on May 11th 2014.
The new centralized online counseling here is expected to help the students with lot of time and energy making the entire admission process efficient.
Around 31,000 students who appeared in the CLAT 2013 for about 1,600 seats will be available in the various national law universities. GNLU expects more than 35,000 students to apply for the 2014 test.

The eligibility criteria for undergraduate program
The candidates should have completed 10+2 or its equivalent qualification from the recognized board with at least 45% marks in the aggregate. The candidates who are waiting for the results also can apply.
The age of the candidate should be 20 yrs as on 1st of July.
Eligibility criteria for post graduation programs
The candidate should have completed the LLB or the BL degree or an equivalent degree from the recognized university with at least 55% marks in the aggregate. Candidates waiting for the results also can apply.
The candidates who have passed the qualifying degree examinations through the supplementary/complementary and repeat the attempts are also eligible.
