VITEEE 2014 exam details

Vellore Institute of technology engineering entrance exam is the national level exam conducted by the VIT University, Vellore. To be held online for the first time the computer based test this year is scheduled to be conducted from April 9th to April 20th 2014 for admission to B.tech programmes that are offered in the constituent institutions of the university.

The last date to apply for the same is February 28th 2014.

The eligibility

A pass in 10+2 or its equivalent with minimum average of 60% of marks in Physics, chemistry and Mathematics or biology

A pass in 10+2 or its equivalent with 50% marks in Physics, chemistry and Mathematics or biology for the candidates belongings to SC/ST and the students hailing from Jammu and Kashmir and from the North Eastern States of Assam, Meghalaya, Manipur, Tripura, Sikkim, Nagaland, Mizoram and the Auranchal Pradesh.

Part 1-Physics

Part II- Chemistry

Part-III-Mathematics or biology

The candidates attempting parts-physics, chemistry and Mathematics are eligible for all the 13 programmes offered.

The candidates attempting parts-Physics, Chemistry and biology are eligible for the Bioinformatics, bio medical engineering and biotechnology programs only.

The selection of the pattern has to be decided at the time of slot booking.

All the questions will be mostly from the state board of higher secondary education and CBSE syllabus only.

Each part has 40 questions and each question carries one mark. Each question is followed by the 4 alternative answers.

There are no negative marks for the wrong answers.
