The Indian Institute of Journalism and New Media - IIJNM is surrounded in an area of around 5 acres of beautifully kept grounds surrounded by rolling hills. IINJM with its modern campus facilities provides television studio, video editing labs and a computer lab with well equipped broadband. IINJM with its 30,000-sq.-ft. facility features large classrooms, a sophisticated media lab, auditoriums, library, and conference rooms.

Providing Computers

Students in IINJM are assigned with a private study area. Students are provided with a personal computer with latest configuration and Windows XP operating system.

All the students’ computers are connected to a network running powerful servers, e-mail and high-speed 24 hour access to the internet. All the computers are provided with the major software tools used in Television, Radio, Print Web and Multimedia Journalism. E-mail facility is opened to all the students, through Google mail server.

Microsoft Office (Word, Excel & PowerPoint), QuarkXPress, CorelDraw, Adobe PageMaker, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Type Manager (ATM), FrontPage, Macromedia Dreamweaver, GIF Animation, Macromedia Flash 5, HTML, JavaScript (Introduction)

For video editing:

Avid, Final Cut Pro, Adobe Premier Pro.

For audio editing:

Nuendo, Cool Edit & Digi Design Pro-tools

Additional software, as and when needed, will be added to this library of publishing tools.

Multi-media Center

IINJM

The Multi-media Center provides a laboratory setting and educational environment with all the required hardware and current software tools for TV, radio, print, web and multimedia publishing. Recording and editing workstations utilize iMac machines and state-of-the-art software tools for mixing sound and editing for TV, radio and multimedia. High resolution video cameras are equipped in Television studio and its anchor stations. In this media center students learn to use software programs. Here the students get the practical knowledge of production work being done by television channels, radio stations, newspapers, magazines and web publications. In the media center the students get familiar with computers, video cameras, sound recording, multimedia, interactivity, video and audio editing, and the coding language that makes Web pages. Hostel

The IIJNM also provides hostel facility separately for both girls and boys. As, the programs studied here in IIJNM takes almost one year duration, all the students must preferably stay in hostel next to the campus, unless an exemption is granted. The modern residential facility hostel has a healthy climate with pollution free environment, supply of clean water which makes students stay comfortable and enjoy their studies. The facility of living within the campus gives students constant access to the services offered by the Institute. This also helps when course assignments call for team effort; students are able to easily get together at short notice. The campus is in a secure area, and the institute is well protected with sufficient security guards.

Health climate, adequate supply of clean water, and secure area free of pollution and noise make the stay comfortable and enjoyable. The campus is just 45 minutes from central Bangalore city, and public transport runs very frequently.

At the start of each semester, students must pay the following fees toward their housing and meals:

Housing fees: Rs. 10,000 per semester

Meals: Rs. 22,500 per semester

Transportation

IIJNM is situated on the outskirts of Bangalore city at Nityanandanagar. The Institute operates its own van service for the conveyance of faculty members residing in the city. Students travel free to the city and back in the college bus for beat reporting and special assignments.

Both NEET and AIPMT are conducted for admission to MBBS and BDS Courses, NEET is national level test, while AIPMT is conducted by CBSE for admission to these courses in government medical and dental colleges of all places including Nagaur

This course in Osmanabad is offered under different specializations, To get admission to a particular specialization, applicants must have completed their higher secondary in 10+2+3 or 11+1+3 format, Both higher secondary/pre-university and degree must have been obtained from a recognized board and recognized university respectively.
