Interview by Mr. Ravi Ranjan- Director of TGC Animation

Q- Please tell us about your career path and which are most memorable moments of your life?

Ans- I started my career from choosing to be a graphic designer by proffesion, in late 1990and i did my P.G. course in media management course from Mumbai. Then I worked for animation industry for almost 5 years and then I thought to start my own institute to teach graphic and animation designing so I started TGC to provide animation and graphic designing knowledge to the young aspirants of India .My most memorable moments is how i decide to open an institute of graphic and animation designing.

Q-So how the TGC journey started?

Ans- At that time mostly people are not aware about this course but as the IT sector start taking boom and as all the .com bubbles started then the awareness of such courses increased and I am being able to see the transformation in digital industry and I know in the future this industry will do good and at that time there are few number of players of this industry so that is the best time to get into this. So now we have 15000 students and 10 branches across the country and we are still growing.

Q-What type of qualitative and quantitative parameters should be taken to choose between two colleges, by a student?

Ans- Firstly they just don’t go for the infrastructure of the college

Secondly they try to talk with the faculty or the head of institute to take the knowledge about the course, today internet is a big medium to search your queries so they should search on that they should check the reviews about the college. Sometimes negative reviews also help

Try to get the alumni contact details and try to contact them and ask about the institute

Check out the past record of college about their placements and packages offered by them

Social media profile of colleges helps to show the culture of college.

Higher the fees doesn’t mean the college is more good so check the fees structure and compare what extra facilities are given by the college for the extra fees, They should go through all this factors before taking admission to any college

Q-After 12th how one student should decide to opt for the further studies? Which course?

Ans- I think student should have the knowledge about their interest they can attend seminars workshops and can meet counselors for better knowledge about the subjects they are going to take as their career path .They should be passionate about it.

Q-What are the unique practices offers by your institute?

Ans-I can proudly say that our HR team is really very good and all the faculties of our institutes have working experience of around 10-12 years, We are so passionate to make our students best in the industry so they can adopt all the changes in industry in practical life as well, We also provide guest lectures and workshops. We also believe in overall personality grooming so our students can be enough confident of getting the job delivered.

Q- What are the key ingredients of success?

Ans -Be passionate

-Be creative

-Think out of the box to make your name in industry

- Discipline

Q-Message for animation and graphic designing students

Ans-Just don’t think by watching Hollywood movies and Animation series that you can also do this .it requires lot of hard work for this if you are good in sketch good in creativity f you think you have ideas out of the box and if you are passionate then this industry will welcomes you.

Q- Any suggestions for Colleges/Institutes how they can help students more?

Ans-Stick to your cause don’t get much diverted to increase revenue focus on what kind of service you are giving.

-Be true with your Students.

-try to be the strong bridge between the students and institutes.

-make good advertising model.

-Go beyond internet try to arrange some workshops and seminars.

-Take feedback of students whether they got satisfy with their queries.

-Innovation, tries to do what others are not doing.
