All about NMAT

NMAT: A Brief-

NMAT or Narsee Monjee Management Aptitute Test scores are used to get admission in SVKM’s Narsee Monjee institute of Management Studies or school of Business Management. The Exam is conducted by Pearson VEU. In Academic Year 2016 will be held over a three months window from October 7, 2016 to December 20, 2016. The last date of registration is September 24, 2016.  The late fees registration will commence from September 25, 2016 to October 4, 2016.

This exam has a unique facility for students as a student is having a chance to take exam more than two times. And the best score among the three scores will be used for admissions.

The various programs which are offered are-

MBA, MBA & PGDM and PGDM. Preferences ones filed can not be changed or altered later.

Once the Exams are done the candidates are shortlisted on the basis of NMAT scores. These shortlisted candidates will be called for Case Discussion (CD) and Personal Interview (PI).

Eligibility Criteria-

There a different eligibility criteria is required for different courses as-

For MBA (Mumbai Campus)-

1.  A candidate should be graduate from any discipline from a recognized university by minimum 50% marks. In first attempt.

2.  The students who have cleared their graduation by doing a part time course or by distance learning, correspondence courses, externally or open school are Not Eligible to apply.

For MBA in HR (Mumbai Campus)-

1.  A candidate should be graduate from any discipline from a recognized university by minimum 50% marks. In first attempt.

2.  The students who have cleared their graduation by doing a part time course or by distance learning, correspondence courses, externally or open school are Not Eligible to apply.

3.  Selection process is different in this.

For MBA in Pharmaceutical Management-

1.  A candidate should be graduate in science, pharmacy, life sciences, MBBS, BDS, BHMS, BAMS, B.Sc

2.  Candidates with B.Tech. Or B.E. in Bio-Tech or Bio-Medical is also eligible to apply. Post Graduate degree holders in Economics, Psychology and Sociology can also apply.

4.  Candidates working in pharmaceutical companies for more than two years are preferred.

PGDM - Bengaluru campus & PGDBM - Hyderabad campus-

1.  A candidate should be graduate from any discipline from a recognized university by minimum 50% marks. In first attempt.

2.  The students who have cleared their graduation by doing a part time course or by distance learning, correspondence courses, externally or open school are Not Eligible to apply.

Points one should be aware of-

  1. The candidates who are final year students and have cleared the written examination. Their admission will be taken in count when they will clear their graduation with percentage more than 50%, in first attempt. That too in given time period.

2.  For full time courses candidates with work experience will be preferred.

3.  At the time of admission should be cleared with all his semesters.

4.  Semester wise marks sheets of all the years will be required at the time of admission.

This course in Hisar is offered under different specializations, To get admission to a particular specialization, applicants must have completed their higher secondary in 10+2+3 or 11+1+3 format, Both higher secondary/pre-university and degree must have been obtained from a recognized board and recognized university respectively.
