Now, CMAT February 2015 is on the card and as an applicant for the examination, you will be well-aware of the fact that the test will be held in a four-day window beginning from the 19th of February until the 22nd of February 2015. Thousands of students take part in the CMAT test that is held during February and September months every year. The last exam held on September 2014, had above-average difficulty level as expected, particularly in the quantitative section. But, participants stated that the other sections were somewhat easier.
Now, with only a few days left for the February 2015 test, the preparation season has geared up and at this juncture, it is important for the test takers to understand what to be done and of course what not to be done is highly important to understand. Here are some don’ts to keep in mind:
Do not attempt too many questions:
If you are planning to attempt as many questions as possible in the test, your planning cannot give up fruitful result. You should remember that attempting too many questions will not ensure a decent score for you. The basic secret to succeed in CMAT is accuracy. Any test taker trying to attempt 70 questions should either be a genius or be a supreme disaster.
Do not over-prepare for General awareness part:
Of course, your good score in this section will showcase your ingrained reading habits. But, focusing too much on this section is not stated as wise for exam strategy. Rather than spending time on this section during your preparation period, you can just go through the newspapers with a view to keep yourself aware of the latest news.
Do not sit for the test without proper preparation:
Remember that preparation is the key to succeed and score well in CMAT. Take as many mock tests as possible and now with only few days left for the test, you can take about 3 or 4 mock tests before the 19th of February 2015. This will help in boosting your confidence level to a great extent as you can gain better familiarization with the test pattern.
Do not set any pre-decided target:
Remember that the absolute scores in CMAT will be decided on the basis of the difficulty level of the test. So, do not have pre-mindset even before the test with respect to your scores like do not set that you should score 200+. It is generally, the rank that matters and not the score.
Do not study a night before the test:
Previously, last minute preparation might have helped you, But, remember that it will not work out in CMAT. So, it is better to begin your preparation and planning well in advance. Let your mind be in a relaxed mood the night before the test.
Do not get back by a bad start:
You might be aware of the fact that CMAT is a long examination with three hours duration and there is no limit with respect to sectional time limits. So, even when there is less than ideal start at the time of examination, you can easily recover with mental commitment.
