The Common Management Admission Test 2016 second test will be held from the 19th of February 2016 to the 22nd of February 2016. For admission of students to this academic session, the first test was held from the 25th of September to 29th of September 2016. The great thing about CMAT is that the applicants are given two opportunities to take part in the test once in September 2016 and again on the February 2016. Of these two scores, better scores will be considered for admission to the academic session for the business administration programme. Here are the important test-day instructions to be remembered by the test takers.
The test will be held in two sessions on all days between 19th and 22nd February 2016. The first session will start from 9.30 am and will be on until 12.30 pm and the second session will be between 2.30 pm and 5.30 pm.
The admit cards for the candidates, who have successfully submitted the application were made available from the 30th of January 2016 from the official website. It is important for candidates to carry the print out of the admit card to get permission to take up the test. There will be the name, photo and signature of the candidates in the admit card. Not only these three, it will also have CMAT roll number, name of the venue of the test, address, reporting time at the venue, test date and time. There will also be some instructions to the candidates.
Test duration and pattern:
The duration will be 180 minutes and the test will have to following sections:
- There will be 25 questions carrying 100 marks in the Quantitative Techniques & Data interpretation
- The second section of logical reasoning will have 25 questions and this section will also carry 100 marks.
- Next comes the language comprehension section with the same number of questions and marks like the previous sections
- Finally, candidates will find 25 questions carrying 100 marks in total in the general awareness section.
There will be 1 mark deduction for every incorrect answer given by the test takers.
At the venue of the test:
At the venue of the test, each candidate will be seated at a separate desk with computer terminal and the test takers will be provided with scratch paper for making calculations. On completion of the test, candidates are recommended to leave the scratch paper at the desk and they are not permitted to do the rough work on any other sheet/paper. There will not be any break during the test.
For the benefit of candidate, a trial test is made available at the website for practice purpose. This trial test will have all instructions to be followed at the actual test hall. This is a wonderful opportunity provided to candidates to relax themselves and to feel confident before the actual date of the test.
The result of this test is expected to be announced on the 25th of March 2016.
