Rajasthan- Engineering admission process changed

A new implementation has been taken by the engineering colleges in Rajasthan by changing the admission process for getting the admission in engineering courses for class 12th and JEE-Mains

A new implementation has been taken by the engineering colleges in Rajasthan by changing the admission process for getting the admission in engineering courses for class 12th and JEE-Mains from this current year, as the result of JEE-Main has been declared recently but due to the lack of the rules the admission cell of the colleges no yet announce the admission date.

RPET was conducted for admissions into the first year of B.E./ B.Tech programs by the Board of Technical Education, Rajasthan but from now onwards the Rajasthan government has dissolved the Rajasthan Pre-Engineering Test (RPET) from this year Instead; it has formed a Centralized Admission Committee (CAC) from the technical the supervision for the admission in 2015- 2016.

Now the new centralized admission committee CAC has declared that the from no onwards the 50% seats of the engineering colleges which is affiliated to RTU will be filled through JEE-Main and the rest 50% will be through the merit list of the 12th Class students and RPET is been dissolved now, the colleges of Rajasthan is now in that impression that they will lose the candidates due to this process as students will go to other states for admission due to delay in the admission process it is said that admission process to start here as states like Gujarat, Delhi and NCR, Punjab, Maharashtra and Tamil Nadu.

The Rajasthan government had adopted a percentile formula to ensure that the class 12 marks of Board of Secondary Education and CBSE students are at par.

The initiative to cancel the RPET was that the students appearing for this state engineering entrance exam had been dropping over the years, as of the total number of engineering seats in Rajasthan kept increasing, admissions through RPET kept falling only 48,787 students appearing for the exam to compete for 65,000 engineering seats.
