Difficulties while preparing for CAT-2014Common Aptitude Test (CAT) is an all India entrance exam conducted by Indian Institutes of Management for the admission for the programs offered by the many of the top B-Schools in India.

Candidates have to prepare for CAT 2014 from at least before 3 to 4 months of the exam.

CAT- 2014 is planned to be conducted on November 16 and November 22. Most of the aspirants dream to study MBA in IIMs to make a better future. So aspirants will take it has a challenge to make their dreams come true, they will put more efforts for the preparation for the Common Aptitude Test (CAT)-2014.

Every student has his own set of difficulties. But there are few things which show to be the problems for majority of CAT candidates. Few of the difficulties that are common to all the aspirants are listed below.

Most of the students going for MBA after completion of their graduation. Students are just blindly joining to MBA as others are joining which is provided by many top B-Schools. Students have to take the information about the programme before choosing any course. After that, students have to list down the best course and colleges in which they are interested to study. Students have to take the appropriate guidance.

Students have to think about joining the coaching classes, whether they need or not. While it is a personal choice of an individual student depending on the level of preparation and the kind of student. If an individual need continuous monitoring and guidance, then joining the classes would be the only option for an individual. There are many coaching centers for CAT. Students have to join the best institute to get prepared well for CAT-2014 examination.

  1. 3. When to start the preparation for CAT?

This is one of the most common questions that come in the minds of students who are taken CAT-2014.  The CAT exam will be very difficult to pass. Majority of the CAT aspirants often waste a lot of time as they fail to identify the right time to start preparing.

Students who feel that their basics need a little clarity should start preparing for the exam about 6-8 months before the exam date. The working professionals need to put extra efforts to make up for the shortage of time due to their work.

Everyone has their own capabilities, strengths and weaknesses so the preparation time might just turn out to be different for different people.

Time management for CAT preparation and the day when they attend the exam is a very important thing. Managing time to prepare is more important for the working executives as they are busy in their hectic schedule of the corporate world is a tough task. There are two ways this problem is splitted with, one is the way that, an individual has to leave the job. Or else an individual need to work hard by taking the time in their busy schedule and spend that time in preparing for CAT.

Time management plays an important role in preparation for any examination. Everyone should know how to manage time. The changes brought about in CAT 2014 is that, they removed the sectional time limit in the paper, which helps the student to take their time for the completion of each section in the CAT-2014.

  1. 5. Fear of Failure

If someone fears in the examination hall, they will forget the points which they have studied and they will fail to recall that main points in the exam hall. Fear make a student to forget everything whatever they have prepared for exam and there will be chances of failure in the exam.

As we are living in a competitive world, the competition that students are facing today is much more than the problems faced yesterday and will be much less than that what we will face tomorrow.
