Is Direct Admission In MBA A Good Choice?

Many students ask is it possible to get direct admission in MBA course. They wish to get admission to this course like an UG arts or commerce course. This means that they wish to get direct admission without any entrance test.

Most management institutions admit students based on their performance in an entrance test. But, most institutions reserve a certain percentage of seats as management quota seats. Institutes admit students to these seats even if they have not taken the entrance test.

About Management Quota Seats:

In general, the course fee is higher in the case of management quota seats. Even, some institutions demand donations from students for these seats. Students admitted to the MBA through these seats will pay a higher fee. The fee they pay doubles the fee paid by students admitted through general quota seats.

Consultants' Promise:

Some educational consultants promise students about MBA colleges in India direct admission. Students should keep away from these consultants. Rather, they should choose to apply to the institution following the right admission procedure.

Why not choose Educational Consultants?

With the desire for direct admission in MBA, students should not choose consultants. The reason is that they will have to face the following risks:

  • They might not get a valid MBA certification
  • The consultant might promise an MBA from one university. But at the end, students will get the degree from another.
  • The consultant might promise one specialisation. But, the institution will offer a seat for another specialisation.
  • The consultant might demand a higher value as commission.
  • Colleges also pay commission to consultants. So, consultants will give preference when recommending colleges to students. They will recommend colleges that pay a higher commission.

Research on own:

It is better not to look for MBA colleges in India direct admission through consultants. Students should rather research on their own. There are good sources online these days to gather information. Students can visit the website of the institutions.

They can gather details about the admission procedure. Then, they can plan their preparations for admissions as per the procedure.

Better value:

Only when they get admission as per the right procedure, they will get a valid MBA certification. They will get the degree from a decent university as well. Moreover, they will pay an affordable fee when they get admission on merit basis.  This will bring them cost-saving benefits.

Hard work will pay them. They should start their preparations right from their higher secondary level. With concentrated practice, they can avoid admission through management quota seats.
