Exam pattern of CMAT 2017


Common Management Admission Test (CMAT) is an online computer-based test conducted by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), India. It is a national-level admission test for facilitating institutions to select suitable students for admission in all management programmes approved by AICTE.

The Common Management Admission Test (CMAT) February 2016 is the entrance test, is conducted for admission to management programmes in colleges approved by AICTE, all over the country. Candidates who are willing to join for MBA/PGDM programmes in top b-Schools need to appear for CMAT entrance test. For the academic year 2016, CMAT February 2016 test registrations has opened. AICTE conducts CMAT twice a year. Willing Candidates have to register online for CMAT test.

Exam pattern of the test:

The question paper carries four sections:

  • Quantitative technique
  • Logical reasoning
  • Language comprehension
  • General Awareness

Important Note:

Negative marking for wrong answers

One mark would be deducted for each wrong answer.

Duration of exam will be 180 minutes.

Students can take a trial test which will be available from August 10 onwards for the candidates to have a feel of the online test and navigation functionality.

Candidates are suggested to go through all trial very carefully to familiarize themselves with the layout, screens and navigation.

When at the test venue, each candidate will be seated at a desk with a computer terminal and he/she will be provided with a scratch paper for calculations.

After the test, the applicants must leave the scratch paper at the desk.

Rough work cannot be done on any other paper or sheet, as nothing will be allowed inside the test room. No breaks will be allowed during the test.

CMAT Eligibility:

  • Candidates must have Graduates with 50% in any discipline.
  • Those candidates who are in Final year of Graduate Courses can also apply.

Test Fee:

  • For General/OBC: Rs.1400 + Bank charges as applicable
  • For SC/ST/PD: Rs.700 + Bank charges as applicable
  • In Foreign Countries: $125 + Bank charges as applicable

yes, your percentage is very low, I will not suggest that you should choose engineering as a career, but still you want to do engineering you can try for private college in Jehanabad, they will admit you.

Hello, good to see that you are from Rohtas, for IITs and NITs, you have to give entrance exam, For NITs JEE Main is the entrance exam and for IITs JEE Advanced is the entrance exam
