Get on Fire, CMAT Exams are Nearing

CMAT, Common Management Admission Test being conducted by All India Council for Technical Education AICTE, is a management level test that selects the eligible candidate for all management courses under AICTE approved institutes. Year on year, about a lakh and more students appear for this exam and only the talented potential candidates gets selected, and that is why this test considered a big milestone in every students’ life who aims for management courses. This is an aptitude based computer online test and students have to be really alert and on their fingers all through the time they spend in the exam hall.

Eligibility for CMAT Exams

Graduates and the final year students from any mainstream are eligible to appear for CMAT exams.

CMAT Exam Schedule

This CMAT exam is being conducted twice a year, one in September and the other in February. Now, September is heading and sure, dear fellow students would be busy preparing for the soon coming CMAT aptitude exams. The dates for the exams are from Sep 25th 2014 to Sep 29th 2014.

First point first, in the busy schedule of preparing for exams, doesn’t fail to register your name before the last date which is Aug 25th 2014.

Duration for CMAT Exams

The duration of every exam session stretches for 3 hours. It will be a continuous session for 3 hours and no breaks are encouraged in between.

Question Pattern

CMAT exams access candidates abilities based on four different subjects, Quantitative Techniques and Data Interpretation, Logical Reasoning, General Awareness and Language Comprehension. There are about 100 questions covered in all four subjects. The marking pattern for these questions is that for every wrong answer, there will be a deduction of 1 mark from the total score for 100 questions. So, students are requested to be extra careful before entering each answer.

Preparation Tips

Preparing for CMAT exams has to have dedication and focus on the syllabus, as like any other exam preparation. For revisions and question pattern, candidates can refer to the CMAT website and download the previous year question banks. This will help students get a clear idea of what the exam pattern is and how their preparations should be. The CMAT website also gives students the facility to attempt a free trail test, which will help them get used to writing online exams. This trail test will be available on the website on and after August 10th 2014. This trail test is not only for getting an idea about the kind of questions to be faced during exam, but very importantly to get familiarized with online exams, the layout of the questionnaire webpage, navigation options and screen viewability.

Ambience  in Exam Hall

Students will not be allowed to take any belongings along them to the exam hall. Every student will be given a counter desk with computer and rough papers for scribbling during calculations. After the exams, students are not supposed to carry the rough paper in which calculations were made.
