India US joint MBA from 2015

India US joint MBA from 2015-

It is exciting news for the aspirants who want to pursue their MBA degree through abroad. Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Bombay has announced a joint venture program of Executive Master of Business Administration (MBA) with Washington University in St. Louis (WUSTL) on June 30, 2014. This program will likely be start from 2015. This news was announced in Lok Sabha by Human Resource Development Minister Smriti Irani.

This program is a first kind of program which allows a candidate to confer a MBA degree from both an Indian and American University. The MBA degree will be conferred to these executives jointly by IIT-Bombay and WUSTL.

Who can apply -

This program is exclusively meant for working executives, professionals and entrepreneurs. One has to have at least seven years quality experience to join the program.

What will be taught -

This main highlighting and important feature of this program which makes it more different is that apart from the teachings of business fundamentals this will also address the qualities of leadership, strategic management, growth and innovation including theoretical and practical training, and integrates local and cultural perspectives.

The pedagogy employed will encourage peer group learning through case discussions, group projects and other interactive methods, besides classroom instructions, simulations and guest lectures.

In classes taught by world-class faculty from WUSTL’s Olin Business School and IIT Bombay’s Shailesh J. Mehta School of Management, executives will be given the knowledge and tools to immediately apply lessons learned to contemporary and emerging business challenges.

What will be the duration –

Duration of this program will be of 18 months. Or we can say it will be of whole one and half year.

How the classes will be commenced –

The distribution of classes will be as in the whole duration the classes will take place as 4 days per month in Mumbai, and it will end with a two-week capstone experience at the Washington University.
