National Power Training Institute (NPTI) Faridabad offers MBA in Power Management Programme 2015-2017

National Power Training Institute (NPTI) Faridabad offers applications for MBA Program in Power Management Admission for the   sessions 2015-2017.

Admission criteria:

NTPI is providing MBA Admissions on the basis of CAT Score conducted by IIMs.

Structure of Program:

This is a two year program carries four semesters in the 1st year, the students take courses in major functional / general management areas like:

  • Human Resources
  • Operations
  • Finance & Accounting
  • Marketing
  • Information Technology and core Power Sector areas

Intake:

The intake is 120Seats

  • Non-Sponsored Seats: Gen – 53, SC – 16, OBC – 28
  • Sponsored Seats: 15

Eligibility criteria:

All candidates (excluding sponsored category) have to appear for CAT-2014 Examination conducted by IIMs.

The candidates (including sponsored category) who have secured B.E / B.Tech / B.Sc. (Engineering) in any branch of Engineering or any other exam recognized as equivalent thereof by the M.D. University securing a minimum of 60 per cent marks in aggregate of all semesters or equivalent in terms of CGPA grade are eligible to apply for admission to the course.

For SC/ST candidates must have minimum pass marks are required (or equivalent in CGPA grade).

Candidates who already have appeared in the current CAT exam conducted by IIMs are only eligible to apply in the course.

  • Issue of Prospectus: 20th November, 2014
  • Last Date for Receipt of Application Forms: 16th March, 2015
  • Posting of short-listed candidates for GD&PI on Website: 18th March, 2015
  • Group Discussion (GD) & Personal Interview (PI): 02nd & 03rd April, 2015
  • Posting of short-listed candidates for Counselling on Website: 16th April, 2015

1st Counselling: 01st May, 2015

2nd Counselling: 05th August, 2015

3rd Counselling: 31st August 2015 (Depending on vacancy position)

Program Begins: 03rd August, 2015

Admission Procedure

A) Merit List(s): Merit will be the only criteria for admission to MBA (Power Management) program

Merit list(s) for Non-Sponsored seats:

i)       70 per cent marks of the total scores obtained by the applicants in the CAT Exam

ii)      Marks obtained by the applicants in Group Discussion (Max 20 Marks)

iii)     Marks obtained by the applicants in Personal Interview (Max 10 Marks)

Group Discussion and Interview will be conducted at:

NPTI, Corporate Office,

Faridabad on 02nd & 03rd April 2015

The merit list, duly approved by the Vice-Chancellor, prepared as per the mentioned criteria which are given above, by the Counselling Board constituted on the recommendations of the Dean, Faculty of Mgmt Sciences, M.D. University, Rohtak will be displayed on the Notice Board of NPTI.

Applicants can also download Application forms from the website (www.npti.in) and must be sent along with a crossed Demand Draft(DD) of Rs1000/- (Rs500/- for SC/ST & Rs250/- for Haryana SC/ST applicants) in favour of National Power Training Institute payable at Faridabad and

Fees and Expenses (Tentative)

Course Fee

(Non-Sponsored) – – Rs 125,000/- per semester

(Sponsored) – – Rs 500,000/- per annum

Security Deposit (refundable) – – Rs. 5,000/-

Hostel Room Rent – – Rs 30,000/- per year

Alumni association life Membership – – Rs 1000/-

Student Welfare Activities – – Rs 2500/- per annum

Boarding Charges – – As per actual

Important note: Students are advised to get their medical insurance done.

Payment mode

The course fee and hostel room rent should be paid in two equal instalments every year i.e., 1st at the starting of the session and one by 31st December each year.

The charges regarding student welfare activities, security deposit and alumni association life membership should be paid at the time of admission to the program.
