A large number of Engineering students opt for management course after completing their degree. In order to get a good job offer and good pay packages the candidates will opt for MBA after B.E in their own stream. There are many courses offered after engineering apart from MBA it all depends upon the students to decide which one to opt for based on his area of interest and his future plans.

Few engineers at IIM-Ahmadabad
One of the best management institute IIM Ahmadabad has decided that they will take very few engineers among the new students given admissions and they will increase for the students from non engineering streams from 4% to 18%.

Hence engineering students have to think about options other than MBA after completing their engineering degree. After completing B.E first you need to decide whether you want to go for higher studies or want to work. A post graduate specializations in your own area will help you earn good amount of salary and will help you a lot in the interviews. Opting for ME or M.tech will help you to gain good knowledge in terms of the specialization you opted for. Here after this you can do PhD degree or you can work in research industry.

If you’re interested in switching the streams then you can opt for various options like Masters in Computer Applications (MCA), MSc in Information Technology. You can also opt for LLB,Master's in tourism Administration, master’s in hospitality studies, masters in social work,designing,Even management and public relations.

If you are interested in getting into government services then you can consider appearing for civil services exams or Indian engineering services exams and go for IAS, IPS or IES.You can also opt for defence services options.

If you wish to make career in teaching then you can complete your post graduation that is ME and M.Tech and then go for NET or SET. Otherwise even go for higher studies in abroad depending upon the financial situations and your interest to study abroad.
