The Admission criteria for 2014-2016-IIM Bangalore

IIM-Bangalore has now internally started its own admission process for providing the admission to the best candidates for the PGP program.

IIMB established in the year 1973, located in capital city offers the best courses with a good learning environment. IIMB offers full time postgraduate program like flagship post graduate program in management, it also offers the postgraduate program in Public policy and Management and offers one year full time residential executive post graduate programm in Management.

IIMB is ranked as 2 one among all the IIMs.

Below mentioned is the information about the name of the institute, the number of applications received, permanent faculty, the visiting faculty, total seats available, the Average domestic salary, the fee structure for 2013-15.

The number of application received for the year 2013-2015 are 181694 ,the placement faculty rating is 95,the total seats for the year 2013-2015 is 400 ,the domestic salary is 17.28,the  minimum cut off is 90 and the fee structure is Rs 14.02

Common Admission test score is considered for providing the admissions. The IIM Bangalore gives the more importance to the CAT score, the prior academic records, the work experience and the short listing.

IIMB does the selection criteria in two stages. In first stage the students who are qualified in CAT score are eligible and in the second stage the students will be called for the written ability test and the personal interview. Candidates will be shortlisted on the average score that is obtained in both the stages and then will be called for the final interview.

Below mentioned is the table that has the details that should be obtained in each section

During the PI process the candidates who are selected for the interview during the particular half day session should write the short note on the topic that is provided in IIMB.

During the interview rounds the panel will decide and evaluate each and every candidate's performance based on the academic background, based on the quality of work experience and other personal traits.

The written article will be checked separately.

The interviewers will also evaluate the quality and relevance of the candidate's work experience.

Admissions into the Postgraduate Program 2014-2016 through GMAT

A separate process will be used for processing the applications for the candidates who apply for GMAT Score.

The candidates are shortlisted by using the cut offs for CAT Score. The candidate should be residing in abroad for at least 18 months . All the candidates who have been shortlisted should appear for the Personal Interview process through remote video conferencing.

The candidates appearing for the personal interview round process in person would also be interviewed along with the candidates using the CAT score and the same personal interview round would be followed.
