There are various Top MCA Colleges in India. They offer quality education to students. Every year many aspiring students pursue this course for a successful career in computer applications. There are number of colleges that offer this course to aspiring candidates. Some of them are Jawaharlal Nehru University, Delhi University, Jamia Hamdard University, Guru Gobind Singh IP University, Institute of Technology and Science and many more colleges offer MCA programme in India.

Master of Computer Application is a 3-year postgraduate program offered by Universities in India. This is really a good option for those who want to pursue a career in software. MCA courses offer good professional opportunities for graduates in Multinational as well as other software firms with an attractive pay package.

BIT MCA: Birla Institute of Technology (BIT) Mersa a deemed university and was founded in 1955. BIT Mersa is accredited by the National Assessment & Accreditation Council (NAAC) & the National Board of Accreditation (NBA). BIT MCA entrance test is conducted every year for admission to MCA courses at its various centers.

Eligibility: To be eligible to enter this programme a candidate must have secured minimum 60% marks in average in Class 10, Class 12 and Graduation and a bachelor’s degree in BCA/B.Sc. in Computers.

Exam date: Entrance exam will be held in month of May

Exam pattern & selection: The duration of the entrance exam is of 2 hours duration and has 120 objective type questions on Mathematics, Analytical ability and Logical Reasoning and Computer awareness. All the qualified short-listed candidates will be called for councelling on the basis of their performance in the MCA online entrance test.

Indraprastha University Common Entrance Test: Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University is an affiliated and teaching university established by government of Delhi in 1998. The university offers various degrees like: B.Tech/M.Tech, MCA/BCA, B.Arch, BBA/MBA, BHMS, Ph.D and many more. The admission to these courses will be done through common entrance test. The MCA programme of IP University and affiliated institutes has over 1,000 seats including those for reserved categories.

Eligibility: Students must have secured at least 60% marks in Class 10, Class 12 and Graduation and bachelor’s degree in BCA/BSc. In Comp Sc., BSc./BA.

Exam date: Entrance exam will be conducted in Month of May

Exam pattern and selection: The duration of the entrance test is of 2 hours and 30 minutes and consists of Mathematics, English language & Comprehension, Computer awareness, Logical and Analytical Ability. A final merit list of counseling will be based on result of the examination. Admission in the course depends upon the cutoffs and merit lists.

JNU MCA: Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) is one of the leading universities in India providing higher education to students. It offers quality education to students for their better professional future.

Eligibility: Candidates must have possessed minimum bachelor’s degree of minimum 3 years from a reputed Institute with at least 55% aggregate marks.

Exam date: Entrance exam will be held in month of May

Exam pattern and selection procedure: The entrance test consists of questions from 10+2/graduation level Maths, graduate-level Computer Science and General Aptitude. The selection will be done on the basis of personal interview and performance in entrance test.

NITMCA Common Entrance Test: NIMCET is a national-level entrance test administered by NITs for admission to their MCA programme. NIMCET scores are accepted by institutes such as NIT Trichy, NIT Jamshedpur and all other NITs of the country.

Eligibility: The applicant must have studied Maths/Statistics/Business Maths in graduation as well as in 12th and should have secured at least 60% of aggregate in class 12th and graduation.

Exam date: Entrance exam will be held in Month of May

Exam pattern and selection: The duration of entrance test is 2 hours and consists 120 multiple choice questions with four choices in each question. Each correct answer will carry 4 marks and 1 mark will be deducted for each wrong answer. The exam has four sections-Mathematics, Computer awareness, Analytical ability and Logical reasoning and General English. The selected candidates will be called for counseling and seat allotment.

Pune University MCA: Pune University has at least 118 research institutes and 269 affiliated colleges and conducts an all India entrance examination for admission to MCA and MSc. (Computer Science) courses.

Eligibility: Candidates must have passed bachelors in science (BCA) with Mathematics at 10+2 level and MSc. (Computer Science).

Exam date: Entrance exam will be held in Month of March

Exam pattern and selection: The pattern of the entrance exam is objective type multiple-choice questions. The examination consists sections such as: Mathematics, General Aptitude and English language. The final selection of the candidates will be done on the basis of personal interview and score of the entrance exam.

West Bengal Joint Entrance Exam MCA: WB-JECA is conducted by the West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination Board and students not only from West Bengal, but also from several parts of India give this exam to get admission in the various institutes of West Bengal.

Eligibility: Candidates must have passed bachelor’s degree with Maths/Statistics as a subject.

Exam date: Entrance exam will be held on 1st week of June

Exam pattern and selection: JECA is a paper-based test and the duration of the exam is 2 hours and 30 minutes and divided into two parts. The exam consists two parts Aptitude test and Mathematics. Selection of the candidates is based on personal interview and score of JECA.

Joint Admission Test for MCA (IIT JAM): The exam is conducted to provide admission to various MCA, MSc, Joint MSc-Ph.D and MSc.- Ph.D dual degree and other post-bachelor degree programmes at the IITs based on the performance in a single test. IIT Roorkee administers this exam every year.

Eligibility: At least 55% aggregate marks in the Bachelor’s degree.

Exam pattern and selection: The questions for Biotechnology and Computer Application test papers will be fully objective type. For each test paper in JAM 2011, separate rank lists, on the basis of written test, will be prepared for General, OBC, SC and ST candidates.

If a phase I test taker of Anjaw oe other places is not satisfied his/her performance in the test or if a candidate has missed out to apply for NEET, he/she can apply for phase 2 exam, It is a second chance provided to aspiring candidates.
