Automobile sector in our country is increasing every year by an average of 14 percent, but there is lack of skilled labour which is needed the most in automobile sector. It is estimated that in the next 10 years around 1.5 crore skilled professionals will be required in automobile sector. Therefore seeing the present situations NSDC (national skill Development Corporation) had decided to train school going students in automotive skills. For the same NSDC and Tata motors will work together.
The pilot program of the project will be first started in five schools. From each school 50 students will be selected to get the training. The selected students will get the training of automotive skills as their elective subject. The training is for 11th and 12th standard students.
