Chemistry is the scoring paper in class 12 CBSE Board examination and with little hard work and practice, students can score well in this paper. Not just for board examination, this paper is important when it comes to preparing for competitive examinations as well. For those with command over this subject, they can score well in competitive examinations as well.

Reasons for difficulty in chemistry:
Many students have difficulty in scoring in this paper right from the initial stages of their class 12 and the important reason for this is the fear they have towards chemistry. If you wish to score well in this paper, the first thing you will have to do is to get out of the fear towards this paper. Remember that this is one of the easy subjects in the science stream when you study the paper with full concentration and consistency. It is your responsibility to develop your confidence towards the paper.

Chemistry is divided into physical, inorganic and organic chemistry. When preparing for physical chemistry topics, you are recommended to learn all formulas in chapters like chemistry kinetics, electrochemistry, solutions and solid state thoroughly. Also, you should try solving a minimum of 5 numerical questions from these important chapters. In addition, you are also recommended to concentrate on the theoretical part of these chapters.

In the case of organic chemistry, you will find everything easier most probably.

It is better to have command over chapters like Aldehydes, Ketones and Carboxylic Acids and Alcohols, Phenols and Ethers. These are the two important chapters when it comes to organic chemistry.

In the case of inorganic chemistry class 12 CBSE, this portion needs a lot of learning. In this portion, you will have to learn a lot of preparation, processes, and chemical reactions of varied chemical compounds. You will get direct questions from this portion. So, it is better to get yourself well-prepared with CBSE sample papers for class 12. Not just for your board examination, the chapters in this section are important for medical and engineering entrance examinations as well. So, you are recommended not to take the chapters in this section for granted.

Some useful tips:

 The most important thing you will have to remember now with just a few months left for your board examination is that you should prepare all the chapters and never leave any chapter for last minute.
 Also, right from this stage, start preparing notes in an organized manner. This will help you in easier revision at later stages.
 You can also make sticky notes and can place them on your study table, such that you can review them every time you pass by your study table.
 It is better to stick to your CBSE books as against other external sources to avoid confusion.
 Finish all the chapters in advance to get room for revision
 Last minute mugging before the examination should be avoided. Just prepare the chemistry questions given at the end of each chemistry topics.
 Also, try to solve as many CBSE sample papers for class 12 chemistry as possible to improve your confidence level on the paper.
