Getting employed in the public sector was the dream of most of the students some years ago. But, even though, nowadays, it looks like most students show interest towards corporate sector, there are some students, who still believe in public sector jobs, just because they have seen people around them, who got employed in public sector and developed in their career. Here are some details about such recruitment examinations:

1. IBPS PO Exam:
The Institute of Banking Personnel Selection Probationary Officer is considered a lucrative white collar job in the country. Every year, lakhs of candidates with the dream of entering into banking sector take up this examination. But, only thousands of them succeed due to the toughness associated with this examination. PO position is generally the entry-level position for management cadre in nationalized banks in India. The job profile for this position generally involves general banking and bank administration and they will be allocated with works that will increase the business of banks. They will also be responsible for supervision of clerical works. This is the position with high growth potential and to clear the PO examination, strong determination and good preparation are essential and the same should continue in further rounds as well to land in the job. If you wish to apply, you can expect the notification for this examination around July 2016 and examination is generally conducted during the month of October or November every year, which is applicable to 2016 as well. 2. SBI PO Examination:
Just like any other public sector banks, SBI, which has the largest number of branches in the country, is also the preferred choice for many aspiring candidates. For most of the entry-level positions in SBI, clearing the SBI PO examination is the criteria. Candidates selected through this examination will have to take up training for two years and these two years are probationary period for them. Based on their performance, their job with SBI will be confirmed. SBI always rewards performing candidates and the uniqueness associated with SBI PO and uniqueness associated with SBI as compared to other PO positions in other banks is that SBI POs are exposed to bigger roles and responsibilities as compared to POs working for other banks. 3. IBPS Specialist Officer:

For instance, IT officer position is filled for candidates to take care of the software systems, while law officer is appointed to take care of the legal transactions related to banks. Likewise, specialist officer position includes HR, marketing, agriculture officer, etc.

4. Staff Selection Commission CGL Examination:
As the name implies this examination is conducted by Staff Selection Commission and CGL here stands for Combined Graduate Level Examination. Generally, positions like income tax inspector, assistant CSS and Examiner in government organizations are filled through this CGL Examination by SSC. 5. RBI Grade B Examination:
Getting into RBI is certainly a great dream for candidates aspiring for banking sector jobs. Grade B officer in RBI is actually an entry-level position for management cadre. Recruitment news for this position can be expected around the month of June.

For candidates interested in insurance sector, LIC AAO or Life Insurance Corporation Assistant Administrative Officer examination can be the ideal recruitment examination to take up. Job responsibility of candidates recruited for this position will involve general administration, supervision of subordinates and they will also be responsible for working towards increasing insurance business. Candidates appointed for this position will have to take up probation-cum-training for a period of 6 months.

7. UPSC Civil Service Examination:
When they are young, most candidates when asked about their dream career state that I want to become an IAS officer or IPS officer. Apart from for these positions, the Union Public Service Commission Civil Service Examination is conducted for recruitment of candidates to the IFS officer position as well. Candidates appointed for these positions are called as civil servants and those appointed for these positions will significantly influence the decision making of government. Immense power and status are associated with these positions. 8. IBPS and SBI Clerk:
As per the recent announcement made by the government, there will not be any interview for clerical positions. Generally, candidates appointed for clerical cadres in bank will be working in the withdrawal and deposit counters. Selected candidates will be provided with training for a period of 6 months initially. By taking up internal or departmental examinations, candidates appointed for clerical cadre can improve in positions. IBPS clerical examination and SBI clerical examination are conducted separately like PO examinations.

9. RRB Examination:
Indian Railways is the largest employers in the country and different recruitment examinations are conducted by Railway Recruitment Board for filling up different job positions almost all round the year. Candidates are recommended to even check today employment news to find any railways related employment notification.

10. TET Examination:
This is for candidates with great interest towards teaching positions. TET examination is conducted both by central and state governments to fill up teaching positions in colleges and schools. Notification for TET examination can be expected all through the year.

Hii, PGDM is equivalent to MBA, you can do PGDM from any good college of Ghaziabad, so you can get placement easily
