Acharya Nagarjuna University Centre For Distance Education, shortly called as ANU CDE has invited applications from eligible candidates for admission to different courses under distance education. The courses for which applications are invited are categorized under two categories. Category A and Category B, wherein the former category admission is done through entrance test, while in the latter category, direct admission is done with prescribed qualification. The MBA and MCA courses offered by the centre come under the former category and here are the eligibility details for the same:
3-year MBA programme: This course is offered with dual specialization and they are marketing, Human Resource Management, Finance and International Management. To apply for this course, candidates must hold a UG degree with at least 50% of aggregate marks (45% for reserved category candidates) with mathematics as one among the subjects at the intermediate or at 10th class level and they should also have a valid rank in ICET or pass in entrance test conducted by the centre.
2-Year MBA with single specialization: The specializations offered are hospital administration, HRM, finance, marketing, banking and insurance management. The same eligibility requirement applicable for the 3-year MBA course is applicable for this course as well.
Exemption from entrance test: Even though, the centre conducts entrance test for admission, candidates with UG degree and 10 years of work experience and those with B. Sc (agriculture), B. Pharmacy, B. Tech/MBBS/B.L/ACS/ICWA/CA/MFM/MFT/MHRM/M. Com with at least 2 years of experience after obtaining need not have to take up the entrance test.
MCA: The same eligibility requirement as mentioned above is applicable for this course as well.
How to apply?
Candidates will have to pay the application cost, which includes the cost of prospectus and entrance test of Rs.550 by hand or if they choose to pay through post or internet, they will have to pay Rs.600. When paid through post, the DD drawn in favor of the centre should be sent through post and online payment can be made through Andhra/SBI bank.
Entrance test dates:
There will be two entrance tests and for the first entrance test, which is planned to be held on the 26th of April 2016, the last date to apply is the 30th of March 2016. In the case of second entrance test, which is to be held on 7th of June 2016, the last date to apply is the 18th of May 2016.
Direct admission to different UG and PG courses under arts, commerce and science faculties are also offered by the university, for which application can be obtained in the above-mentioned manner. Many courses under the category of one-year UG/PG diploma and certificate courses are also offered.
For M. Sc courses, the last date to apply without late fee is 04th of May 2016 and with late fee is 18th of May 2016. For PG courses, certificate and diploma courses 11th of May 2016 is the last date to apply without late fee and with late fee, the last date is 1st of June 2016.
