CMAT referred to as Common Management Admission Test is a nationwide admission exam to get admission in all of the management courses affiliated with AICTE. This exam was conducted twice in a year in the months of February & September, but from 2016-17 it will be conducted only once in a year. CMAT 2017 will be conducted on 28th January 2017 and 29th January 2017. The CMAT is a three-hour computer based online test which is being carried out in a single session to evaluate the candidate’s ability across various segments like Quantitative Technique, Language Comprehension, Logical Reasoning and General Awareness.

Eligibility for CMAT 2017:

The CMAT exam will be conducted by AICTE or All India Council for Technical Education. The passionate contenders can apply for the same till 10th Dec, but with certain eligibility conditions which are described below

  • Contenders are required to be an Indian or citizen of India.
  • Candidates should be at least graduated from whatever discipline.
  • The applicants who are pursuing their final year of graduation and whose result announcement will be held before that of academic year 2017-2018 declaration are also eligible to apply for CMAT-online Test.

CMAT 2017 Application Fee:

  • The candidate belonging to reserved categories such as SC (Scheduled Caste) or ST (Scheduled Tribe) or PD are ought to pay 700 plus the bank charges.
  • The general as well as OBC are required to pay Rs.1400 plus the bank charges.
  • The foreign countries candidates are necessitated to pay only $125 plus bank charges.
    Note: The application fee once deposited will not be refunded in any case.

CMAT 2017 Exam Pattern:

As it is an on-line computer based test, it will be conducted in a single session only. The questions asked will be of MCQ type. The CMAT Examination Pattern can be understood from the details given:

  • The time period of test will be three hours in total i.e. 180 minutes.
  • Each question will carry 4 marks.
  • For every wrong attempt one mark will be deducted and for every correct attempt one mark will be awarded.

CMAT Registration 2017:

There’ll be a choice of three dates and also three cities of India for the on-line test in accordance with the preference. It will be on the basis of First come first serve i.e. the allotment will be based upon the availability of the slots in a certain city. If the required city is not available then you have to choose from the available ones.
CMAT registration is only a three-step procedure, if taken in brief:

Step 1: Just read the given instructions and register yourself. As soon as you enter in the website as a new user, you’ll be provided certain instructions, read them and accept the terms and conditions and continue thereafter. After that register yourself and fill details and then submit. But remember after submitting you can’t edit the entered data of this page. Afterwards, it generates a password of six digits which will be delivered to you on your screen, email and phone as well by SMS. Next time, you can enter in this website as an existing user and login henceforth.

Step 2: In this step, you’ll be asked the procedure of payment i.e. how you’re going to do the payment? The options will be:

  • Online Payment: One can opt for on-line payment method and can give the payment via credit or debit card or can also use net banking for the same. As your payment is successfully made, you’ll get a confirmation mail from the website on your E-mail and also receive a SMS on phone.
  • Cash Payment via SBI: One can chose this option to give the payment in cash at any nearby branch of SBI bank. As you select this alternative and continue, you’ll be redirected to the Challan, consisting of all the details. You are then required to take three printouts in total, fill the details wherever required in all of the copies and then go to any branch of SBI and deposit your Challan amount. The last due date for payment of CHALLAN is 11th December 2016 and from then to 13th December 2016 to finish registration procedure. After depositing cash in the bank, it will return you a copy of CHALLAN with the stamp of bank and also the number of JOURNAL written on the same. Merely in 2 days or 48 hours, the payment will be updated on the registration portal. And you’ll then be receiving an E-mail and also a SMS verifying that your payment has been updated. After then you are required to do login on the website with the registration process

Step 3: After you’ve done with the payment option, you are necessitated to fill in the rest of the part of the application. As you have completed filling the application form, we suggest you to confirm your data by the VIEW or MODIFY option button given on the website. After which you’re required to accept the declaration & select I Agree button. On getting agree, your application form will then be submitted ultimately. Since after then, there’ll not be possible any change in the data after submitting and you’ll be getting a pop up on your screen with the message of thanking.

CMAT 2017 Admit Card:

The CMAT Admit Card 2017 will be accessible from the CMAT Official Website on-line only from 13th January 2017. All the candidates registered appropriately i.e. before the last date, will only be given the admit card. The contenders are then be necessitated to download their respective admit cards from our official website as it is not possible to send them individually via post or courier. The applicants are required to carry their admit cards to the particular test centers on the test date for getting entry into the examination centre.

CMAT 2017 Result:

The CMAT Result 2017 will be declared on 10th February 2017. It will be announced on-line only and will then be uploaded on CMATs official web portal. The applicants are ought to login into their particular accounts using the existing user link for their results. The result will contain the section wise scoring of the candidates and also the total scores. The CMAT merit lists will be declared in the particular states for giving the contenders a central counseling session in accordance with the notification procedure. If it will not be conducted, then the admission will be directly allotted in AICTE approved institute or university or college etc.
