The Centre for Management Studies has called for applications from eligible candidates for full-time MBA course, whose duration is 2 years. This course is offered by the centre in the following specializations:
- Marketing Management
- Human Resource Management
- Financial Management
- Small Business and Entrepreneurship Development
- Systems Management
- Tourism, Hospitality and Event Management
Number of seats: The total intake capacity is 60, which includes 6 endowment seats.
Eligibility requirement: To apply to this course, candidates must have completed their UG degree in any discipline, except fine arts and music. This degree must have been obtained from a recognized Indian university with a minimum of 50% of aggregate marks, which is 45% for SC/ST candidates. Candidates waiting for their final year results can also apply.
Course fee: The full-time MBA course is divided into four semesters and the course fee for each semester is Rs.25000. The applicants will also have to pay a one-time endowment fee of Rs.50, 000.
Admission will be based on the entrance test conducted by the centre called as Centre for Management Studies Dibrugarh University Test called as CMSDU. However, candidates with valid score of 550 or above in MAT and 175 or above in CMAT/CAT are exempted from taking CMSDU test. On the basis of the marks obtained in the qualifying examination and on the basis of the entrance test score, candidates will be called for Group Discussion and Personal Interview.
The issue of application forms for the full-time MBA course will begin from the 9th February 2016 and will continue until the 5th of March 2016. The last date to apply for the course is 5th of March 2016. The CMSDU test will be held on the 15th of March 2016 and group discussion and personal interview will be held on the 19th and 20th of March 2016. The course will begin from the month of August.
How to apply?
The registration kit with application form and details of other application procedures can be obtained from the university from the 9th of February 2016 on payment of Rs.650. The cost of registration kit is Rs.400 for candidates, who have valid CAT/MAT/CMAT score as mentioned earlier as they will not have to take up the CMSDU Test. Candidates can also request for the registration kit by post by sending a DD for the said amount drawn in favor of the Registrar of the university along with A4 size envelope with the address of the applicant.

The specialization courses are to be taken by the candidates only from the 3rd semester with 3 courses of each specialization in a semester. To pass in the course, students must score 45% and they should get an aggregate of 50% mark to pass a semester.
