GCET 2014 exam dates announced by DTE Goa

The Directorate of Technical Education (DTE) of Goa has announced the exam dates for the Goa Common Entrance Test (GCET 2015.) for admission to professional degree programs such as engineering (BE) and medical (MBBS, BDS, BHMS, Pharm) at the under graduate level in Goa.

Eligibility criteria

  • Should be Indian to be eligible to appear for GCET 2014 Test
  • Passed twelfth grade from Goa Board of Secondary and Higher Education, or an equivalent examination.
  • Age limit for candidates appearing for MBBS,BDS&BHMS is 17 years this year and there is no age limit specified for other courses
  • Candidates applying to MBBS and BDS courses, you need to have obtained a minimum GCET 2014 score of 50% (40% for SC/ST/OBC and 45% for PH applicants.) aggregate in specified subjects. No minimum limit in GCET 2014 score is mentioned for other courses.
  • For Degree Course in Architecture, valid score at NATA conducted by Council of Architecture is required.

Eligibility criteria according to the course

MBBS, BDS, BHMS:

 

  • Passed class 12th with English, scoring at least 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology taken together.
  • (40% for the applicants belonging to SC, ST and OBC only and 45% for applicants belonging to PH category for MBBS and BDS Course).

 

B.E.:

 

  • Passed class 12th with English, Physics & Mathematics as compulsory subjects with one of the following subjects Chemistry/Bio-Technology/Computer Science /Biology, scoring at least 45% mark in the aggregate of Physics & Mathematics with one of the following subjects Chemistry/Bio-Technology/Computer Science/Biology.
  • (40% for the applicants belonging to SC, ST and OBC only).

 

B.Pharm:

 

  • passed class 12th with English, Physics and Chemistry as compulsory subjects with one of the following subjects Mathematics/Bio-Technology/Computer Science /Biology, scoring at least 45%* marks in the aggregate of subjects of Physics & Chemistry with one of the following subjects Mathematics/Bio-Technology/Computer Science/Biology.
  • (40% for the applicants belonging to SC, ST and OBC only).
  • Note: students who have passed 12th from national open school New Delhi are not eligible as per rules of pharmacy council of India.

 



B.Arch.:

 

  • Passed class 12th with Mathematics, scoring at least 50% marks(45% for candidate belonging to SC ST & OBC category)
  • Passed 10+3 diploma (any stream) with 50%


OR


Should have obtained an International Baccalaureate Diploma, after 10 years of schooling, scoring at least 50% marks in aggregate and with Mathematics as a compulsory subject in your examination.

  • Applicants scoring minimum 80/200 at NATA can also apply for B.Arch.
