School of Electrical Engineering & Information Technology functioning under the Punjab Agricultural University offers a full-time Master of Computer Applications course. Criteria for admission:
For this course with the total intake capacity of 50 students, admission will be done on the basis of the marks secured by students in the common entrance test conducted by the university in the name of MET-MCA, which is planned to be held on the 01st of June 2016. The entrance test will be followed by counseling/interview. There will be two dates for counseling. The first will be conducted on the 16th of July 2016 and the second is on the 27th of July 2016.
To apply to this course, the applicants must be graduates in any discipline and they must have secured a minimum of 60% marks or an OCPA of 6.00 or equivalent.
For the MCA course, the first semester fee will be Rs.80,280, while for the second semester, the fee will be Rs.59,270.
How to apply?
Applicants will have to pay Rs.3955 for the entrance test, which encompasses the cost of prospectus/downloaded application. Application should be submitted online and for uploading filled in application form, the applicants should have a valid E-mail ID. Candidates will have to visit the website of the university for submission of online application. They should keep a clear passport size photography ready in JPG/JPEG format with a maximum size of 50KB. Once they click the submit button after filling all the details, a verification code will be sent to their mail ID. Then, this verification link should be clicked and they should login with the help of their mail ID and date of birth to download/print the application and the bank challan form either of Punjab National Bank or Bank of India.
They will find a unique number on the top of the challan and the application. After taking the printout, candidates will have to take the challan to the appropriate branch of the bank for depositing the fee. The downloaded application form, along with university copy of the challan should be sent to the Registrar of the university by post before the 12th of May 2016. With late fee of Rs.1000, they can send the filled in application before the 15th of May 2016.
