Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International School of Textile & Management has called for applications from candidates for Post Graduate Diploma in Management course that is approved by the AICTE, New Delhi. This autonomous institution functioning under the Ministry of Textile of Government of India holds the pride of offering this course as a unique course being the first of its kind in India.
About the course:
The Post Graduate Diploma in Management programme is a two-year full-time course offered in three different specializations being textiles, apparel and retail.
To apply to any branch of the PGDM course, candidates must be graduates in any discipline. This graduation must have been obtained from a university approved by AICTE/UGC with at least 15 years of education in 10+2+3 format. The qualifying mark at the degree level should be 50 per cent or above and 45 per cent or above in the case of reserved category candidates. The aggregate percentage will be calculated on the basis of the practice followed by the concerned institution or university. If the institution does not follow the practice of converting CGPA into equivalent marks, SVPISTM will take care of this work by dividing the CGPA obtained by candidates with the utmost possible CGPA and multiplying the result with 100. Those in the final year of their degree course can also apply. Applications are invited by the institution from students with diverse educational background.
The institute offers scholarship to the tune of Rs.40,000 per year based on SVP-MAT. Even though, the institute admits candidates on the basis of the scores of other management aptitude tests like TANCET, XAT, CAT and MAT, only the candidates with appropriate SVP-MAT score will be eligible for scholarship. For the first year, merit secured by candidates in SVP-MAT will be considered for scholarship, while for the second year, the merit secured by candidates in the first year will be considered to find their eligibility to scholarship.
As mentioned earlier, the institute conducts an admission test called as SVP-MAT for admission of students to the above-mentioned courses. There will be personal interview and group discussion as well.
This test will be conducted both online and offline from 14th to 22nd February 2016. The dates of PI and GD will be announced later. The test will have 100 objective type questions with 25 questions under the following sections:
