The admissions are open in SRM University for the domestic students through the easy to use online admission process and the direct sale of the application forms through banks, post offices and the university campuses on 15th December 2013. Foreign and the NRI students can apply online.

 

The university offers the courses in Engineering, architecture, Management, Medicine, Health sciences, Basic sciences, Media sciences, Languages, Hotel management and the humanities.

Speaking on the admissions this year the SRM University Chancellor Dr T.R. Pachamuthu said, “Every year around 2, 00,000 students register for admission in SRM University, from 48 countries and across India, and the numbers are growing.  It is our Endeavour to be among the world’s top universities soon.”

SRM Admission Process

1. Apply Online or download the application from the website or buy it from the designated post offices, banks and the university campuses in Chennai or New Delhi.

2. Appear for the SRMEE for the admission to designated courses and the programmes.

3. Attend the transparent counseling process which is based on ranking in SRMEE and the eligibility and on merit for courses which re not covered by the entrance examinations.

To enable the candidates who intend to appear for the different entrance examinations the university has spread the online examinations scheduled over a week in the month of April 2014 the paper pencil exam will be held on 27th April 2014.

Scholarships

SRM University has instituted several scholarships, grants and assistant ships  based on academic merit and financial need. The Founders Scholarship is one of them, which covers full waiver of tuition fees, hostel fees and transportation, along with a monthly stipend to toppers in school finals, SRMEE, JEE (Mains),  JEE (Advanced), achievers in sports, candidates belonging to the minority community and those who are different.
