As most of us know, when it comes to management education XLRI is one among the prominent names in India. The institute has invited applications from eligible candidates for the XLRI VIL Programmes. VIL stands for Virtual Interactive Learning.
Programmes on offer:
Under VIL, the institute has invited applications for the following two courses:
- Post Graduate Certificate in Business Management (PGCPM), which is the 29th batch
- Post Graduate Certificate in Human Resource Management (PGCHRM), which is the 21st batch.
Interested candidates will have to submit their application for these courses online. There is no need for hard copy submission of documents and they are expected to carry the hard copy along with them only at the time of interview. They should bring in the hard copy to the respective interview centres and should submit them. Any application with incomplete details like educational details, experience details and photograph will not be entertained for further processing.

Fee towards applying:
After registration, candidates are expected to make a payment of application fee of Rs.2000 through online mode and this amount is non-refundable and is common for all applicants regardless of their community.
Statement of purpose:
On payment of application fee, the applicants are expected to fill in the online Statement of purpose (SOP) with the help of their XSAT ID and password. They will receive these login details to their mail ID. Applications without SOP will not be considered for further processing.
Last date to apply:
Application process is now open and the last date to apply is the 10th of October 2016.
Aspiring candidates must have at least two years of work experience as on the month of October 2016. This experience must have been obtained after completion of their graduation in 10+2+3 format or its equivalent format.
Compulsory course requirement:
Every candidate must have their own laptop with internet connection 3G dongle, when they are participating in the course. This is important for corresponding with the faculty, for writing assignments and tests. However, they will not be able to attend the sessions on their laptop as regular sessions will be held at the allotted study centers.
The credentials of candidates will be verified at the time of interview and admission. So, there will not be any requirement at the time of applying.
Other important points to remember:
The applicants are recommended to keep their XSAT ID and Password safe for further correspondence with the interview with respect to the course. Another important point to be remembered by applicants is that mere fulfillment of the eligibility requirement does not guarantee that he/she will be shortlisted for interview. The short-listing of candidates will be done on the basis of the standards followed by the institute strictly.
So, experienced candidates can apply to these programmes until the 10th of October 2016.
