Manipal University of Karnataka, one of the renowned universities of India, conducts the Manipal UGET Exam for admission into the undergraduate level courses in engineering, medical and dental programs, offered at various college/institutes affiliated under Manipal University.

Eligibility

MBBS/BDS

The candidates must have passed their Higher Secondary Examination from a recognized board/university with a minimum of 55% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology, along with English.

 

BPharm

The applicants must have passed their Higher Secondary Examination from a recognized board/university, with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate, with Physics, Chemistry and English as compulsory subjects, and Mathematics, Bio Technology, Computer science or Biology as one of the optional subjects.

 

BSc Nursing

The candidates must have passed their Higher Secondary Examination from a recognized board/university, with a minimum of 50% marks, with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English.

 

BSc Biotechnology

Students desiring admission need to pass their Higher Secondary Examination from a recognized board/university, with a minimum of 60% marks, with Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and English as compulsory subjects, and Bio Technology or Biology as one of the optional subjects.

 

BPT/BOT/BSc, MIT/BSc, NMT/BSc, MLT/BSc & RT

The candidates must have passed their Higher Secondary Examination from a recognized board/university, with a minimum of 45% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology, along with English.

 

BSc OPT/BASLP/BSc AEC

The applicants must have passed their Higher Secondary Examination from a recognized board/university, with a minimum of 45% in aggregate in Physics, Chemistry and English, along with Biology or Mathematics as one of the optional subjects.

 

BE

The candidates must have passed their Higher Secondary Examination from a recognized board/university, with a minimum of 50% marks in Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry/Biotechnology/Biology/Computer Science or Engineering Drawing as one of the optional subjects, along with English.

 

Examination Pattern

Manipal UGET test comprises of the objective type multiple choice questions which are based on different streams such as Physics Chemistry, Biology, English and General Aptitude. Candidates appear in a different combination of subjects, according to their preferred field.

 

Syllabus

Candidates appearing for the Manipal UGET have to prepare in Physics, Chemistry, Biology, English and General Aptitude. The standard of the examination is of 10+2 level.

what is the selection process for admission in engineering colleges? when the advertisement comes in printed media? what is the fee structure? whether the examination takes place online otherwise the centres for appearing at the competitive examination? i want to know the details for exam in 2011.
