Admission/ Selection process: a) Xavier Aptitude Test (XAT)- XAT 2016 had three sections `Verbal Ability and Logical Reasoning (VA), `Quantitative Ability and Data Interpretation (QA) and `Analytical Reasoning and Decision Making Ability (AR). b) A candidate may apply for a maximum of three programmes. Those who apply for multiple programmes may be called for multiple interviews and/or group discussions. The selection criteria for different programmes may differ depending on the nature of the programme. XAT written test will have multiple components and you need to maximize your performance in each of these components.

Placements: XLRI’s placement process aims to match the requirement of the recruiters and the aspirations of the students. The three main placement processes conducted are: a) Summer Internship Process b) Lateral Recruitment Process c) Campus Recruitment Programme

2. Indian School of Business, Hyderabad: ISB is a world class Business school and is well acclaimed in Asia. Both the Institute’s founders and Faculty have been extremely dynamic people from the corporate and academic worlds. This has led to the Institute providing innovative programmes and thought leadership with an understanding of evolving economies, but also with a global perspective. The Institute aims to be an internationally top-ranked, research-driven, independent management institution that grooms future leaders for India and the world. The Indian School of Business has formed academic alliances with the Kellogg School of Management at North-western University, The Wharton School at the University.

The application process is completely online Pennsylvania, London Business School (LBS) and MIT Sloan School of Management and The Fletcher School of Law & Diplomacy, Tufts University, bringing the best of global management practices and thinking into their curriculum.

Selection Criteria: To be eligible for admission, a candidate must meet the following requirements:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in any discipline.
  • Preferably two years of full-time work experience after graduation. Exceptional candidates, with less work experience, will be considered for deferred admission.
  • GMAT score
  • TOEFL / IELTS / PTE score, only if language of instruction during undergraduate education was not English.

The application process is completely online. The online application requires you to provide detailed information about yourself, your education and work experience, etc., in addition to submitting a few essays. You also need to provide the names and contact details of two professionals for submission of recommendation letters. Selected applicants will be shortlisted for an interview.

Sponsorship: The Indian School of Business (ISB) Employer Sponsorship Programme allows a corporate to work along with outstanding employees, in grooming them for senior management positions within the company. Organisations that have sponsored their employees to the ISB include Citigroup, Dr Reddy's Labs, Hindustan Lever Limited, Intel Corporation, ITC, McKinsey & Company, Satyam Technologies, and many more.

3. Intitute of Rural Management Anand: IRMA was established in 1979 at Anand, Gujarat with the support of the Swiss Agency for Development Cooperation (SDC), the Government of India, the Government of Gujarat, erstwhile Indian Dairy Corporation and the National Dairy Development Board to provide management education, training, research and consultancy support to co-operatives and rural development organisations in India.


IRMA is founded with the belief that the key for effective rural development is professional management. This requires matching the needs of the sector with the formal techniques and skills of management professionals, and IRMA has been doing this very effectively. Over the years it has provided management training, support and research facilities to students committed to rural development and in this process it has collaborated with several co-operatives, non-government organisations, government development agencies, international development organisations and funding agencies.

Programmes on offer are:

a) Programme in Rural Management: This Programme prepares young talented managers to undertake challenging responsibilities in the rural Co-operatives and the development organizations. It is a two-year residential programme leading to a Post-Graduate Diploma in Rural Management (PGDRM) which is recognized as equivalent to Master’s Degree by the Association of Indian Universities (AIU) and is approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). The participants of this programme are highly valued in local, national and international co-operatives, NGOs, development organizations, and funding agencies.

b) Fellow Programme in Rural Management: The FPRM is a doctoral programme of minimum three years and maximum six years duration. It is meant for students and professionals seeking careers in Research, Teaching and specialised knowledge-based positions in Rural Management Institutions.

Admission Process:

1. All the candidates who are eligible including sponsored candidates required to appear in written entrance exam conducted by IRMA.

2. The written test comprises four sections analytical reasoning (50 marks), quantitative ability (50 marks), English comprehension (40 marks), and issues of social concern (60 marks).

3. Based on the performance in the written test, candidates will be selected to attend a personal interview (PI) and a group discussion (GD).

4. The final selection of candidates will be done on the basis of the overall performance in the written test, PI, and GD. The marks obtained in PI and GD will be normalised across the evaluating panels.

4. Indian Institute of Foreign Trade: The Indian Institute of Foreign Trade (IIFT) was set up in 1963 by the Government of India as an autonomous organisation to help professionalise the country's foreign trade management and increase exports by developing human resources; generating, analysing and disseminating data; and conducting research.

Development in the international marketing on the one hand and the consequential impact of the same on India’s domestic market on the other, call for a professional approach and sensitivity to international business environment.

IIFT has been executing research activities with organisations like WTO, World Bank, UNCTAD and the Ministry of Commerce & Industry, Government of India. The Institute has campuses in Delhi and Kolkata.

Programmes on offer are:

a) Two-year MBA (International Business), New Delhi, Kolkata

b) Three-year MBA (International Business) Part-time, New Delhi, Kolkata

c) Executive Masters in IB, New Delhi

d) Certificate Program in Export Management, New Delhi

Admissions:

MBA –IB: The MBA (International Business) is a foundational course for developing a competent cadre of business executives to meet the country’s growing requirements for training personnel in the field of international management. MBA (IB) is a six trimester general management programme with a focus on international business. The programme aims at providing a comprehensive coverage incorporating all the important areas and disciplines relevant to international business activities. The syllabi for MBA (IB) compares favorably with the syllabi of some of the world’s best International Business Schools.

Selection will be on the basis of Written Test, Group Discussion, Essay Writing and Interview. The admission test is a multiple choice objective type written test (in English). Duration of the test is two hours. It normally consists of around 200 questions covering English Comprehension, General Knowledge & Awareness, Logical Reasoning And Quantitative Analysis

MBA-IB- Part time: With the introduction of a three-year Part Time MBA (International Business) during 2000-01, IIFT added a new dimension to its role in the field of professional education by making available to working executives the Institute’s well established MBA (IB) programme in the evening. This programme is a replica of the day programme, both in terms of entry procedures and course contents. The programme runs over nine trimesters spread over three years. The classes will be held on weekends. Mode of Admission: Group Discussion, Essay Writing and Interview.
