You can get your direct admission in these institutes:-

1) Indian Naval Academy,

2) Armed Forces Medical College,

3) Indian Military Academy,

4) National Defence Academy,

5) Air Force Academy, and

6) Officers’ Training Academy.

Selection criteria

For Medical admission in Armed Forces Medical College

1) You must have passed your +2 as a regular student with good percentages in Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English.

2) A selection test is also to be passed

Any successful pass-out will be commissioned in the Armed Forces Medical Services as the officer.  The Armed Forces Medical College is located in Pune. The institute conducts undergraduate, post graduate courses in different disciplines like Nursing, Para-medics, Dentistry and General Physicians for preparing future doctors & other professionals in Medical Science for the future need of the country.

Unmarried male candidates can reap a good harvest

Located in Khadakvasla, National Defence Academy caters to the needs of the unmarried male candidates.

Eligibility

After successfully completion of your +2 exam, you have to fulfil the criteria of NDA exam, followed by NDA interview to qualify for your entry into the medical stream of National Defence Academy.

 

What is NDA Exam?

Basically, NDA is the top most inter-service training institution. This premium institution train different categories of candidates in different fields and prepare them for serving Armed forces.

Duration of NDA

The duration of NDA is 3 years.

What are the streams available in NDA?

NDA conducts the degree courses under the auspices of Jawaharlal Nehru University. The courses are:-

1)      Computer science

2)      Science and

3)      Arts

The academic performances & profiles of the individual candidates are the basis of the selection for different streams. A candidate can opt for either Humanities or Science streams for joining NDA.

Languages to be improved in NDA

Each candidate has to learn English as his or her compulsory subjects. The other languages are one foreign language and Hindi.

What next?

After this, each candidate has to join his or her respective service academy. The academies are:-

1)       Naval Academy

2)       Indian Military Academy,  and

3)        Air Force Academy

The technical entry scheme for unmarried boys

The unmarried boys whose minimum age (on the first day of the month) should be minimum sixteen and half and maximum nineteen are eligible for the course.

The minimum percentage of aggregate marks should be 70 %. The subjects in this category are compulsorily Mathematics, Chemistry and Physics.

Course duration

The total course duration is 5 years, within-which 1 year is fixed for basic military training in IMA (Indian Military Academy).

After the completion of 4 years in technical training, 1 year is crucial for each and every candidate. A candidate is granted permanent commission in this stage. After the permanent commissions a candidate is trained in the above mentioned colleges as the post-commission training.

No NCTE approved M.Ed colleges/universities in Chamoli or any other place admit the students only after B.Ed
