SAT is scholastic aptitude test which is owned, developed and conducted by College Board of United States of America. This test is mandatory for taking admission in some universities in U.S.A. SAT is of two types:
- Reasoning test – This test checks the general writing skills and grammar of the aspiring students.
- Subject test – This test checks the knowledge of the aspiring students about the subject they’ll choose.
SAT is to be conducted seven times in a year on every 1st Saturday of October, November, December, January, February, March, April, May and June. The average target score of SAT is 1000, and the target score of per section is 500. The lowest score of SAT is 400, and the highest score is 1600.
MCAT comes under the category of medical college admission exams for study abroad which is required for those aspiring students who want to take admission in medical schools. MCAT is most challenging computers based test and has five sections:
- Physical Sciences
- Verbal reasoning
- Biological Sciences
- Social and Biological Foundations of Behaviour

GMAT is Graduate Management Admission test. Graduate Management Admission Council (GMAC) is the owner and administrator of GMAT exam. - Integrated reasoning
- Quantitative reasoning

This test has introduced a new section of integrated reasoning which make the test more competitive. This test is very prominent among aspiring Indian students who want to take admission in MBA colleges. GMAT score range from 200 to 800, two-thirds of test takers score between 400 to 600. GMAT score is based on quantitative, and verbal scores. The analytical writing assessment and integrated reasoning score do not affect the total score.
GRE is graduate record examination. This test is conducted for those aspiring students who want to study in USA and Canada especially, in engineering. This test has three sections:

This test is conducted in more than 160 countries and has more than 100 test centres. The scoring of GRE is done according to its sections. In verbal reasoning and quantitative reasoning, the minimum score is 130, and the maximum score is 170 with one point increment. IELTS is international English language testing system. It is a mandatory exam for study abroad which is required to take admission in the UK and other countries. This test also contains vocabulary test as well as grammar test. This test is conducted in 120 countries and more than 500 test centres. The IELS 9- band scale. The score of IELTS is given from 1 to 9 for each section of the test. You can score whole (e.g. 5.0, 6.0, 7.0) or half (e.g. 5.5, 6.5, 7.5) bands in each section of the test.
TOEFL is the test of English as a foreign language. TOEFL is given by those students who want to study in foreign universities. Many government agencies, scholarship programmes and licensing agencies use TOEFL scores to evaluate English proficiency. This test has five sections:
TOEFL has conducted throughout the year usually, on weekends both in metro and the tier2 and tier3 cities. TOEFL test has two formats:
