As it is a competitive world, Students are interested to study higher education, so that one can make a very good career by getting the job in the top notch companies with high qualification.

Most of the Indian students are going to abroad to study higher education. Every year there is an increase of students going to abroad for their studies. The universities located in abroad are attracting Indian aspirants with best quality of education and the various different courses.

Students are showing interest in joining the foreign universities for undergraduate courses, mainly for the four-year undergraduate course. In Indian top colleges / universities, students must have 90% to 100% cutoff marks to get seats. The students who have secured 80% to 90% would get seats only in B-grade colleges.

Students are become very competitive and they are fond of new course which is not offered by Indian Universities/ Colleges. But various different courses are offered by foreign universities to attract the students to come over there and to study.

Indian aspirants think that there is a good quality of education in abroad compared to Indian Colleges. Students would wish to take one year gap for preparation for the foreign universities entrance examination. There are some entrance exams conducted by foreign universities for the admission for various courses in foreign universities.

In Indian top colleges, most of the seats are reserved for category candidates and the SC/ST candidates. There is lack of seats for general merit students even though they secure 80% marks; they were not getting seats in the colleges they wish to study.

The admission procedure in India is based on high cutoff marks. But the admission procedure is different in case of foreign universities. They will go through different process before providing admission to the international students. Foreign Universities will consider the student's academic background, marks obtained in the aptitude test and personality assessment of the student.

Some of the top reasons for more students going abroad from India:

  • Indian Colleges are unsuccessful in attracting the Students.
  • Indian Colleges are not providing enough seats for general merit candidates.
  • Indian Colleges are not having attractive and Flexible Courses.
  • There is poor quality of education in Indian Colleges.
  • There is a high cut off marks for the admission.
  • Indian Colleges are not providing the scholarships for the students.
  • Syllabus and curriculum are frequently updated in US to keep up with the latest social and technological developments in the society.
  • Quality of Infrastructure is good in foreign universities compared to Indian universities.

The total fee of education in India is less compared to the foreign universities, but students are attracted towards the global degree and the scholarships provided by foreign universities. Foreign degree is more valuable than the degree provided by the Indian universities for an international job market.
