Now the question arises as to how much studying in Australia costs? It obviously depends upon the level of institution and the course one selects to study. Notably, it is compulsory for all the international students to pay their tuition fees in advance. There can be additional costs depending on the nature of course. On average the fees for various coursed could be concluded as:

  • English language studies - Around $300 per week depending on course length
  • Vocational Education and Training (Certificates I to IV, Diploma and Advanced Diploma) - $4,000 to $22,000
  • Undergraduate Bachelor Degree - $15,000 to $33,000
  • Postgraduate Masters Degree - $20,000 to $37,000
  • Doctoral Degree - $14,000 to $37,000

(All costs are per year in Australian dollars)

To meet the expenses of your education, you can work on part time basis in Australia in various sectors like Retail (supermarkets, department and clothing stores), Hospitality (cafes, bars and restaurants), Tourism (hotels and motels), agricultural ( farming and fruit-picking), sales and telemarketing, administration or clerical positions and tutoring. Besides some courses also have internship as a part of curriculum
