Australian universities are known for the best education and research they provide. Australia is one of the place where most of the Indian students opt for higher studies. The courses which Australian universities provide are identified and recognized all over the country. Australia offers 12 yrs of education which covers both primary as well as secondary.

There is a huge selection of study courses obtainable in Australian education, which includes standard academic programs along with the practical and vocational courses.

Vocational Education and training: Vocational Education and training courses are offered by various private institutions and other technical colleges. Depending on the feild of the course the duration of these courses will be around one or two years.

After completion of undergraduate degree students are awarded a Bachelor’s Degree.

Some undergraduate courses specify ‘pre-requisite subjects’, which implies that students must have passed that particular subject as part of their entry qualification.

Courses like fashion designing or Fine arts may also require submissions of finance details along with documents.

Most Australian universities accept the Indian graduation system of three years for entry into postgraduate courses.

However, some courses and universities may require a qualification equivalent to Australian Bachelor (Honours) Degree, which requires 16 years of formal education, which would mean another year after graduation or a four-year degree course like B.E., B.Tech or other equivalent courses.

Students VISA will permit the students to work in overseas for a period of 20 hours per week. There are various consultancies that will help you to find jobs in overseas. Australia also has Indian Student Association that help the students get help in terms of airport pickup, initial accommodation at the University. Also many universities have region specific associations such as Tamil association, Punjabi association etc.
