  • Institute of Banking Personnel Selection is the expansion of IBPS
  • The important objective of creating this body is to offer assistance to organisations on the recruitment of the right talents.
  • IBPS conducts clerk examination every year for the hiring of the right talents for clerical cadre, and this is done through CWE or Common Written Test, which is the first step in the recruitment process.
  • This initial step has IBPS preliminary and main examination based on which provisional allotment will be made.
  • Based on the IBPS Clerk rank many banks recruit candidates to clerical cadres. These banks are referred to as participating banks. Mostly all public sector banks use CWE score for recruitment of clerks.
  • The recruitment drive that is going to be conducted for the year 2017 is referred to as IBPS Clerk CWE VII. The reason is that this is the 7th year for IBPS to conduct this recruitment.
