The pattern of IBPS Clerk Preliminary Examination

  • The IBPS Clerk Preliminary Examination will be scheduled as online, and the structure will be as follows:

  • The exams by securing the cut-off marks that will be decided by IBPS.
  • IBPS will decide the adequate number of candidates under each category based on the requirements that will be shortlisted for main online examination.

The Pattern of IBPS Clerk Main Examination

  • There will be 5 sections in the main examination as per the table is given below.
  • For the main examination, time will be allotted for each section separately as given in the following table. Also, except the English language section, questions for all other sections will be given both English and Hindi.

  • IBPS reserves the right to change the structure of the exam. The same will be intimated through the website of IBPS.
  • Candidates will be allowed to attain the CWE preliminary and main examinations only when they have the following documents:
    • Valid call letter for the respective dates and sessions of the examinations
    • Photo identity proof that bears the same name as it appears on the application form/call letter
    • Photocopy of photo-identity proof
  • Candidates are reporting the examination centre late, after the reporting time stated on the call letter for examination, will not be allowed to take the exam.
  • Even though the examination time is one hour, candidates should stay in the test venue for two hours or more, which includes the time needed for completion of different formalities like collection and verification of all the required documents, taking instructions and logging in.
