A candidate can apply for the post of Office Assistant (Multipurpose) and can also apply for the post of Officer. However, a candidate can apply only for a single post in officer’s cadre. This means that he/she can apply either for Officer Scale I, Officer Scale II or Scale III.
Applicants will have to apply separately and they should also pay intimation or application fee separately for each post they apply to.
It is expected that the notification will be out this month and application process is also expected to open this month. It will probably be on until the middle of next month. Candidates are therefore recommended to check the official website of IBPS then and there for notification.
Application can be submitted only through the website of IBPS. But, before applying online, the prospective applicants are recommended to keep the following things ready for applying:
Scanned copy of the signature and photograph and these images should be in the size of 4.5 cm X 3.5 cm.
Candidates are recommended to make sure that the signature and specification are as per the details given in the notification.
Signature in capital letter will not be accepted.
Candidates are recommended to keep the necessary documents or details ready to make online payment of the appropriate application fee or intimation charges.
They should have a valid personal email ID, which should be kept active until the results are declared for the first round or preliminary examination.
This registered email might be used by IBPS to send call letter for the examination. Candidates should not share their registered email ID to any other person.
The Application fee to be paid by all candidates belonging to general category is Rs.600, while for SC/ST/PWD candidates, the application fee is Rs.100. This fee is applicable for candidates applying for Officer Scale I/II and III positions and also for Office Assistant position.
The application fee or intimation charges should be paid before the last date specified in the notification by IBPS.
Candidates will have to bear the bank charges applicable for the application fee or intimation charges.
The application form is integrated with the payment process and payment gateway and candidates can make the payment through this mode following the instructions given online.
Candidates can make the payment using debit/credit card, web banking, IMPS, mobile wallets/cash cards by providing the appropriate information they are recommended to provide on the screen.
On successful completion of the online transaction, candidates are recommended to generate the e-receipt.
Candidates should take the printout of the e-receipt and online application form.
If they find that the online transaction receipt is not generated, candidates are recommended to understand that the transaction is not successful.
Once, the candidates submit the payment information in online application form, they are recommended to wait for the intimation from the server. They should not press the refresh button or should not press the back button to avoid double charge.
In the case of credit card users, all charges will be listed in Indian rupees. In the case of those using a non-Indian credit card, the bank will convert the money to the local currency on the basis of the prevailing exchange rates.
To make sure that their data will remain safe, candidates are recommended to close the browser window on completion of the transaction.
