The B. M. Sreenivasaiah College of Engineering, is one of the most reputed engineering college in Bangalore, Karnataka, India. The college started in 1946, was one of the first private sector initiatives in technical education in India. Popularly known as BMS, it is located on the Bull Temple Road, opposite to the famous Bull Temple. Though a private engineering college, it is partially funded by the Government of Karnataka. It has the largest student population of engineering colleges in Karnataka, drawing students from other states of India and abroad. Nearly 30,000 engineers around the world hail B. M. Sreenivasaiah College of Engineering as their Alma mater. One of the oldest engineering colleges in Karnataka, it recently celebrated its Diamond Jubilee in 2006. It is also known for the annual inter-collegiate Techno-Cultural festival UTSAV, one of the prominent student-managed fests in the country.

Hi I'm looking for details on Admission to BE in E&CE Evening College-BMSCE, for Diploma Holders under Lateral Entry (direct to 3rd sem); with 6yr work experience. Please let me know the procedures. The weblink on their website for evening college is not working.

Candidates seeking admission to the 1st year of the four years Engineering degree (B.E.) course, should have passed the two years of P.U.C Examinations (with Physics and Mathematics along with Chemistry / Bio-Technology / Computer Science/ Electronics / Biology as optional subjects with English as one of the languages of study) conducted by the Pre-University Board of Karnataka State or any other examination recognized as equivalent by the Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU) and should have obtained a minimum of 45% of marks in aggregate of optional subjects. In case of candidates belonging to SC/ST & Category I
(Karnataka Students Only), the minimum percentage of marks shall not be less than 40% in the optional subjects as per rules

I've completed my BCA through distance education and willing to do my BE in BMS evening college, Is there a possible way for me to do BE with my current degree or do I've to start all over again by writing CET/through Management Seat.

Hi Arun,

there is provision to admit Diploma holders (both Karnataka & Non Karnataka) to 1st year B.E course subject to availability of vacancies (i.e after filling vacant seats surrendered by CET to Management).Admission will be based on the marks obtained by the candidate in Diploma, provided he/she fulfils all other criteria for admission to B.E course.

The inter college transfer is not allowed in BMS college of Engineering, not even in third year. Direct Admission in third year is not possible. If you want admission in this college, you have to apply for it for the 1st year.
