Every IIM has a different selection procedure and the preference allocation to various events and activities. Some might give great prefence and weight-age to 12 and graduation percentage or some might give little or no weight-age. It depends on the IIM and changes every year.
However, in general, the IIMs do give preference to 12 and graduation percentage. But, if you have low percentage and you are able to justify them your standing, then you would have a better chance of getting admission.

i have got 89.27 percentile in my MAT exam..so can you please send me details regarding the admisson process of UBS.

ELIGIBILITY for MBA, MBA (IB), MBA (HR)
A recognized Bachelor's degree in any discipline with not less than 50% marks in the aggregate or a pass in final examination conducted by ICAI/ICWAI/ICSI or AMIE with 50% marks (See UBS Handbook of Information 2010).

ELIGIBILITY for MBA (Biotech)
A Bachelor's degree in Biological Sciences, i.e., Biology, Botany, Microbiology, Zoology, Biochemistry, Biophysics, Genetics, Pharmacy, Biotechnology, Veterinary Sciences, BE/B.Tech (Biotechnology), B.Sc. (Bioinformatics), MBBS, BDS, and BE (Informatics) with not less than 50% marks in the aggregate (See UBS Handbook of Information 2010).

Candidates appearing in final degree examination are eligible to apply and can take the test provisionally. Reservation as per approved norms of Panjab University. Concession of 5% marks in the eligibility requirements of SC/ST candidates.

ADMISSION PROCEDURE
Take Common Admission Test (CAT) 2009 to be conducted by IIMs. NO SEPARATE ENTRANCE TEST will be conducted by UBS or Panjab University for these programmes.
