Eligibility for Admission

* B.A, LL.B. (Hons.) - To be eligible for admission to First Semester of B.A., LL.B. (Hons.) degree programme, a candidate should have passed PUC / Intermediate examination (10 + 2) or its equivalent recognized by any University by Securing 45% (in case of SC/ST candidates 40%) of marks.
* B.B.A.,LL.B(Hons.) - To be eligible for admission to First Semester of B.B.A.,LL.B(Hons) degree programme, a candidate should have passed PUC / Intermediate examination (10 + 2) or its equivalent recognized by any University by Securing 45% (in case of SC/ST candidates 40%) of marks.
* Any candidate who is a graduate or a post graduate of any University or possessing such academic qualifications, which are considered to be equivalent to graduate of post graduate degree of any University recognised by the Bar Council of India, securing 45% (in case of SC/ST candidates 40%) of marks shall be eligible for admission for the First semester of three years LL.B.,
* The admission committee, however, may determine the eligibility of the candidates.

Admission Procedure

Admission to B.A.,LL.B. (Hons.), B.B.A.,LL.B(Hons.) and LL.B Degree Programme is made purely on the basis of merit. The admission to the courses shall be subject to fulfilling the conditions stipulated in the regulations at the time of admission and production of documentary evidence of their eligibility. The candidate shall, after submission of duly filled application, appear before the admission committee for screening. The admission committee shall determine the eligibility of the candidate for admission.

Admission for Foreign Nationals

The Foreign Nationals seeking admission shall fulfill the eligibility criteria as prescribed committee shall determine the equivalence for eligibility.

The admission is made as follows:

* Scheduled Caste ----------> 15%
* Scheduled Tribe -----------> 7

J.S.S Law College, a professional college functioning under the aegis of JSS Mahavidyapeetha, was established in the year 1982. Since its inception it is striving to search for innovative methods in imparting legal education. It has been able to establish itself as one of the best law colleges. It is attracting students from all over the country and also abroad. The college has been recognized by the Bar Council of India. It was accredited with B+ by NAAC.

J.S.S Law college is the first law college in the country to become autonomous. Autonomy of an institution is its right of governance to fulfill its objectives with minimum interference or control from others. The concept of autonomy of a college reserves its right to admit students on merit, determine curriculum, impart teaching, evaluate the performance of students and maintain high standards as a higher educational institution with minimum control by the University and the Government. Autonomous status lays emphasis on what shall be taught, how it shall be taught and how it shall be evaluated. The degree, however, will be awarded by the University of Mysore, Mysore.
