EXAM PATTERN, SYLLABUS OF IES/ESE 2018

  • A three-stage process was announced by the Union Public Service Commission for ESE 2018.
  • The table given below explains the preliminary written examination, which is the first stage of the selection process:

  • The decision of minimum qualifying mark for each paper will be made by the commission
  • Only candidates clearing the preliminary stage of the ESE test will be eligible to move to the second stage of the test.
  • Here is the table that denotes the structure of second stage of ECE, which is a written test:

  • The total of Stage I and II combined is 1100 Marks.
  • Only candidates qualifying in Stage I and II of the selection process will qualify for Stage III, whose pattern will be as per the table given below:
