National Criteria:

Candidates must match with one of the following eligibility criteria:

  • Students should be a resident of India; Or,
  • A subject of Nepal; Or,
  • A subject of Bhutan; Or,
  • A personal who are actually of Indian origin but migrated from Burma, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Zambia, Malawi, Uganda,  the United Republic of Tanzania, Ethiopia, Zaire or Vietnam; Or,
  • Group of Tibetan refugee who came into India with the intent of permanent settling in the country

Age Criteria:

Minimum Age is 21 years, and Maximum age is less than 30 years as on 1st August 2018 i.e. applicants who are born not before than 2nd August 1987 and not after than 1st August 1996 are eligible to apply.

Candidates who have been ordinarily domiciled in the state of J&K  in between the period of 1st January 1980 to the 31st December 1989; Maximum 3 years
Ex-servicemen Maximum 5 years
ECOs/SSCOs Maximum 5 years
Blind, Deaf-Dumb and Orthopaedically disabled person Maximum 10 years

Minimum Educational Qualification:

For Indian Economic Service: Applicants should hold the postgraduate degree with Economics/ Business Economics/Applied Economics/ Econometric from a recognised university.

For Indian Statistical Service: Student should complete a graduation degree with Mathematical Statistics/ Statistics/Applied Statistics or a Master’s degree in Mathematical Statistics/ Statistics/Applied Statistics from a recognised university.

Physical Standards:

Must be medically fit according to the standard of the respective authority.
