  • To apply to the nursing courses, candidates should have the attested copies of the following documents to the Registrar, Academic Section AIIMS at the time of verification of original documents as per schedule:
    • Matriculation/high school or higher secondary certificate from a recognised board/university showing the date of birth of the applicant.
    • Degree or Provisional degree certificate of the qualifying examination to show the eligibility of the candidate to apply to the PG nursing course.
    • Detailed mark sheet of the qualifying examination showing the marks secured by the applicant.
    • If a candidate is already employed in a public/state government or central government undertaking, a no objection certificate should be submitted.
  • Candidates applying for the B. Sc Nursing (Post Basic), in addition to the documents mentioned above, the following additional documents are to be submitted:
    • Certificate of Diploma in General nursing and midwifery.
    • In the case of male applicants, who have completed the course before the implementation of the new integrated course in 2003, they should submit the diploma certificate along with the registered nursing certificate.
    • They must have obtained the certificate in general nursing as against training in midwifery in any of the following subjects for a period of 6 months:
      • Operation theatre techniques
      • Ophthalmic Nursing
      • Leprosy nursing
      • TB nursing
      • Psychiatric nursing
      • Neurological and neuro surgical nursing
      • Community Health Nursing
      • Cancer Nursing
      • Orthopaedic Nursing
    • The certificate should be submitted along with mark sheets.
    • Certificate of registration as a nurse and midwife from the state or Indian medical council
    • All applicants, who are in the merit list, will be required to submit the certificate showing their physical fitness from a registered medical practitioner.
  • In the case of candidates already employed in a government job, they should submit a no objection certificate.
  • In the case of candidates from SC/ST or OBC category, they should submit an attested copy of a certificate in the prescribed format from any of the following authorities:
    • Deputy commissioner/collector/ Additional District Magistrate/ District Magistrate/ Ist Class Stipendiary Magistrate/ Deputy Collector/ Additional Deputy Commissioner/ Extra Assistant Commissioner/ Executive Magistrate/ Taluka Magistrate/ Sub Divisional Magistrate/ City Magistrate
    • Presidency Magistrate/ Additional Chief Presidency Magistrate/ Chief Presidency Magistrate
    • Revenue Officer least in the rank of Tehsildar
    • Sub-Divisional Officer of the Area in which the candidate and/or his/her family normally resides.
    • Development Officer (Lakshadweep Island)/ Secretary to Administrator/ Administrator

How to Apply for AIIMS Nursing 2017?

  • The test takers will have to submit the online registration form with utmost care. They should carefully go through the instruction and manual help that they can find on the prospectus once it is out.
  • The online application should be correctly filled by the applicants as there are chances of rejection of incorrect application form.

  • Candidates are recommended to carefully go through the prospectus and should acquaint himself/herself with all the essentials with respect to filling up the online registration form.

  • Candidates belonging to all categories mentioned above will have to bear the appropriate transaction charges.
  • The registration form cost encompasses the fee for entrance test that is non-refundable.
